We are staying at CSR and have ressies for dinner at Jiko one of the nights. From what I can tell researching these boards, we would have to take a bus from CSR to one of the parks, then get a bus from that park to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Is this correct? If so, would it be best to go to Animal Kingdom park, as it seems closest to both AKL and CSR? Or does anyone think it would be better to take a taxi, due to how long it would take to get from CSR to AKL.

Obviously taking a taxi is fastest. I tend to take the bus. In your case, I'd take a bus to Animal Kingdom park, then the bus to the lodge. It is a very fast ride to the Lodge from the Park.

If you have dinner reservations late and if the Animal Kingdom Park closes early, then the bus might not be running when you want to go. Something to check on.

Take a bus to one of the OPEN parks. If a park has closed then the buses are not supposed to pick up guests and take them back there. I would got to he following parks, in this order, to do what you want to do: AK, HS then EPCOT. Avoid going to MK or DTD, since they are so far away.

It doesn't hurt to ask but if you are leaving AK, late in the evening, the buses, returning to the parks, may be empty and if that is the case, a driver might be able to drop you off at CSR on the way back to whereever they came from. Like I said; it doesn't hurt to ask.

Take a taxi...we were running late last yr and called a taxi. It took about 10 min to get there and about $8. With bus transportation and having to transfer ...figure leaving about an hr early.

I agree, the taxi will be about the cheapest trip you will make. It's just so much easier. And CSR being a convention resort almost always has cabs waiting right outside the main entrance.

I appreciate your suggestions and responses. I think we will most likely take a cab, as for only about $8, it seems like the best and easiest option.
