Is the Orlando Informer site the Universal equivalent of EasyWDW?

I'm looking for some cheat sheets and guidance for 3 days at Universal.

October 13-15 :) I am getting totally excited! I have done soooo much WDW research, but not a lot for Universal, other than the HP stuff. But I've just started looking at everything, and it all looks amazing!!! I think my kids might even like it better than WDW. I know everyone on here says you can easily get it all done, but I just want to make sure we don't miss anything.

We will be there Oct 14-15! I am wondering the same. We arent big rides type people but we want to experience all we can. We only have 2 day single park tickets though and I am struggling to justify the cost of upgrading to park to park just so we can ride the hogwarts express :( im just not convinced its worth it???

The sites are kinda similar in that they both have some free cheat sheets/tour plans and priority guides. Universal needs much less planning really. Especially if you're staying "on site." :)

I have not ridden the Hogwarts Express but like you I'm not sure 1 rides worth the price to upgrade. That being said, for me, even before the Hogwarts Express, I've always used park to park.

First, the parks are extremely close to each other so getting from one park to the other is quick. Second, I like the big rides but as I've gotten older I can't loop them like I used to. So, It's nice to spend part of the day at IOA that has the bigger more thrilling rides then hop over to USF that has more of the shows and sedate rides. By spreading my big rides out, I can ride more than if I spent a whole day in either park.

Other HP a breeze!

I never bother with the planners.:confused3 imo after a few visits to WDW it just takes common sense to plot your day (i.e. get there early & book early FP+ to commando it if that's the goal) but it's a nice cottage industry and people seem to swear by it, whatever works.:thumbsup2

the Unofficial Guide and several other guidebooks (passporter & one for universal that escapes my mind at the moment) have itineraries that are good for 1st time visitors to both parks.

We will be there 11-15 :)

I feel much better now that I've just found the Orlando Informer site- everything I had found before that was very much just facts based- I was looking for the inside scoop :)

I love plans- to me, having a plan is even more important than actually following it. I just need to have the peace of mind that we know where we are going. If we then choose to do something different so be it :)

I've been feeling very anxious not having a Universal plan until some kind sole shared one with me on another post!
