Ok, so I am a little excited about the gift exchange. I had a few minutes to spare after my flu shot, weight in at LAWL and then picking up my little girl from preschool that I watch so I stopped by the mall. I already have an ornament in mind!!

I still need Lulu and Karen to email me their addresses. If I have everyones permission I will share all addresses. Do you think this is everyone that will participate? I will give it a couple of days and then draw names.

I bet we have everyone who will participate. I am excited. I don't have the exact ornament in mind but I have a place in mind to get it.

Now the doctors are saying my FIL had a seizure not a stroke. They are still running more tests. My DH is back to saying they are going to be living in our living room. This is not going to be good. I do not know why the insurance won't let them take the insurance money and buy a new house. The insurance is saying the only way they get full price is to rebuild. This isn't some spring chickens this is elderly people who aren't even healthy enough to do day to day things right now, how will they ever get their house rebuilt. I am really stressing over this today. I'm worried about them, but I am also worried about my own sanity with them living in my living room. His Mom is hurting so bad she won't get out of the bed, and I work full time.

Marcie, I can sympathize for you and understand your concerns. We have a 75 year old lady that we will be discharged from a nursing home tomorrow who is hinting to move in here and I KNOW I can't take her. She is VERY verbal and demands her way. She doesn't have family. We are all she has. Neither my dh or I could take her 24/7. She would end up in our living room as well even though we have spare bedrooms. She likes sleeping on the couch even in her house. The nursing staff asked her why she was nervous going home and she replied "being lonely". We are just not responding to her comments yet. I feel assisted living would be best and she can afford it. Hang in there. It's got to get better.

Wow, everyone is talkative this morning. I like it I vote for ornaments too. I might do some of my shopping while on vacation.

I work in an office, so when I order online I just send it to work. Even if it comes in while I'm on vacation they will just put it on my desk. I've ordered 1 present for my DD already because it is a game that doesn't come out until dec 5th, so since we are limited on where to shop I went ahead and pre-ordered it online. I thought about getting her an IPod this year but I really am not sure how much she wants one. I know what she really wants is a cell phone haha. But my DH and I go back and forth on thinking she's too young. She says she doesn't want a big gift, just a bunch of games for her games systems and clothes. At work we always buy my boss something little and we all put our items together and get him a basket made. I am really thinking of buying him a model of the Wonder.

I want everyone's addresses for Christmas cards too. We are planning on buying cards on the ship.

Marcie my DD is wanting a cell phone too. I am going to hold firm on not getting one. Since I work in a high school I see kids get in trouble over the daily. Mac can wait a little while longer. I will give in if she starts to get more involved in after school activities until I am holding out for a few more years.

Sandy I bought the card for Ronald and it is addressed and waiting to go into my suitcase! I am so excited to mail it!!! Oh I put some fairy (pixie) dust in the card as well...since it is from the card fairy....I hope that was ok....if not I am sorry...it is too late for now.....

Ok, I have to go and see about a bathing suit...not too sure about the two piece... Jeff is but I am not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh Selena. I love the pixie dust. What a great idea. Don't you just hate to pack? I hate it even more now that the airlines have weight restrictions. Isn't it funny how women catch all heck about how much they pack but we are responsible for all the meds and any incidentals. Have a great time and think of us. Don't forget to have a sip or two of juice.

Selena, that is the only reason why I would give in. Aerial plays sports and is always at practice or a game. She just called me a bit ago on her friends cell phone to tell me to pick her up in 20 minutes. They lost the game but she sounded happy enough. Anyay, maybe I will wait another year for one. Everytime I go to her school half the girls are on a phone.

Guess what!! The tanning salon opened so I got to tan today. She pulled up my name on the computer and told me it had been 500 or so days since I had been there haha. Well I told her I didn't want to burn in the bahamas so I will tan for 3 weeks.

We are about to go to the hospital. My FIL is having surgery tomorrow. I don't know all the details yet.

Sandy, I liked the pixie dust idea....I hope he does. When I did it Erik was watching and I told him what I was doing. He said don't you need to glue it on??? I told him no. That fairies do not use glue. He is 10 so he just rolled his eyes at me

Well I think I am all packed. I had to use the big suitcase. I used the red luggage set and Jeff is using the navy one.

Well I hope we have a great time. We need a little together time ...it has been almost two months....since the cruise...

Lulu buy some vitmains and use Ziacam nasal swabs. I swear my the things now!! Remember how sick I was right before my cruise. I was about 85% better in just 3 days. I normally have a cold for about 2 weeks. Buy them. I now keep them on hand.

Karen I have got a few emails from you but not seen oyou on here lately. Hope you are ok.

Heidi I will think of you at the beach and at the jazz festival.....

I will think of all of you while I lay out on the beach....having a spiked juice drink.....bahama mamas here I come..........

Hi guys,

I just wanted to share with you that we got our friend out of the nursing home and got her situated at home (not sure how long that will last) and went home to bed. We were awaken by a phone call from the paramedic that my mom was being rushed to the hospital. By the time we got there she had already passed. It was heart related and she didn't suffer. It is very hard because it was sudden but I feel good that I had just called her probably a half hour befores she passed and had a wonderful lunch with her on Monday.

Karen and Lulu, I got your pm's.

I may or may not check in as our friend is being very difficult. Don't know when the funeral will be. We will know more on Monday.

OK guys! I STILL have not had time toread and catch up and DH just surprised me and came home today (kind of had an idea he may start to copme back this next week... he surprised me). HOWEVER, I HAD to respond to say I am SO terribly sorry Sandy . . . my heart is actually aching for you. Can't quite get used to the feeling of loss yet and even the loss of others hurts me. Take comfort in great memories and knowing she is in such a greater place. You were a wonderful friend to her as she was to you and that, my friend, is the best gift.... my thoughts, prayers and all of me is with you right now in spirits. haven't been able to read so I cannot respond but say . . . Iam so glad we are a bunch of funky monkeys together!!!! (Oh... the banana comes in here quite appropriately!!!! Monkeys...bananas... get it?

Well, the weekend is almost over I just wanted to pop on to say hello.

2 1/2 more weeks I am going to disney.

Boy will I need it, I have had a nightmarish weekend. To make a very long story short, my MIL is now staying here, she's not getting out of the bed too much, we have home health care going to start coming. On the other hand my FIL who just had a seizure, blood clot etc has decided that he is fine to live alone in their motor home. Like I said this is the very short version. Anyway at least we will be able to help her some.

Hi guys, I just wanted to check in to say good morning. I am alright, trying to hang in there. It has been a long weekend with 2 sleepless nights so far and many many tears. Thank god my boyfriend has patience for me and he has been very good and understanding. It hasn't even been 4 months since my grandpa has passed away and I haven't even healed from that yet. The shock factor makes it even worse, atleast with my grandpa we could prepare ourselves.

How are you holding up mom, I can't get you off my mind?

Hello to all!

Heidi and Sandy . . . I have been thinking about you all weekend and hope things are getting a bit easier and settling down. I just cannot imagine. I can however get a feel for the pain because of knowing my mom was going to pass and then having my dad go first, when we had NO clue...
so I can kind of relate. I think that is why I feel so bad for you guys. But we are here for you!!
Marci . . . hope all is well with you too. You deserve a big also.
SELENA!!!!!! The Bahamas??!!! I finally read a few more posts!!!!! You lucky monkey , you!!!
And for the rest of you guys. Lulu, JersyBoy, etc... I hope all is well.
Now..... since Halloween has passed, I see that we can legally call this the holiday season, right? Well, enough of the season for me to start with my traditional Christmas eggnog, right?!!!!
Can't do too much of that kind of fun!!! I have NOW lost over 41 inches at Curves... did I brag about that yet?!!!
One more thing.... I dressed like Peter Pan last night and the dog and oldest DD and my granddaughter dressed as Tink. My youngest DD and DS dressed as pirates. What a bunch! I was often mistaken for the Jolly Green Giant!!! Bummer for me.
Anyway, hope all is well with everyone and I hope Selenas vacation was a blast. Karen
