Do you eat lots of sugar free things? Like using sugar substitutes or just go really bare on actual sugar?
I use Sweet N Low or Equal for drinks, but even "sugar free" stuff has a lot of sugar alcohols and is how they get away with claiming sugar free or no sugar added. My 10 gram limit includes sugar alcohols and some other hidden sugar substitutes under the carbs line. It can be VERY difficult. I have to monitor it completely. If I go over that 10 gram limit within 1 hour time frame I get very sick. Once you deal with it for a while, you learn... a 1 " by 1" piece of cake with a very light layer of frosting is about 10 grams sugar. I very rarely drink juice. Every once in a while I really crave it and go with an apple juice diluted in water about 2 oz juice with 2 oz water. Fruits... I can eat not quite 1/2 of most fruits (apples, banana's, oranges) or a small handful of grapes (about 8-10). Once you get used to not having much, you actually become quite satisfied with the small amounts of it and a lot of super sweet stuff becomes to rich. Most of the stuff I make for my kids or hubby and then just take a couple bites out... Like when I make your waffles, each kids waffle will have 1 or 2 bites out of it before they even see them on their plates.
