didn't get to pop in, but mailed mine out to hmm - and this weeks paper, it was slim pickins! Only one ad and a publix flyer.

I asked for one at my Post Office. They told me they don't hand them out. They don't even have enough for them to use and to make my own because thats what they did.

Well, that wasn't very accommodating of tthem. Is there another post office you can try? I didn't even have to ask at mine. He just noticed I mailed a lot of thick envies and said, "Here, take this home. It will come in handy."

Saved $11 at walmart today with DD9 Aka small fry ( she had tummy issues today ) She found the automatic soft soap dispencer coupon I had clipped for $3.00 off. Walmart had it for $6.77 it was reduced from $9.77 so we snagged one. now i have more coupons for it and going to go back for more . very cool thing indeed!!

It's little because it's my first one and the coupons I clipped before I started this expired at the end of 2011.

I am going to go through the envie that I got today and hurry up and ship it in the morning. Some of the coupons expire on the 31st and figure this might give you a change to use them before the end of the month. And then on Monday I will mail what ever I get in this weekends paper.

Yes, I know.... That's why I think it would benefit me to get a scale. I've tried taking them to the post office, but it's so inconvenient (since we have everything needed at work). Plus, I get to work before the two closest PO's open and sometimes I can't get there before they close (Mondays are my busiest days at work so I always work late). I think it's been mentioned before....does anyone know what the cut off is for thickness of the envie? And that's another thing....when I know I have a thick one (typically, any envie that won't fit in my postage meter) I know I add postage, but how much do I add?? So, I might be over paying by guessing there too! So, I need a postage scale that also measures the thickness! I think the PO has some kind of mat they use....maybe I can find one of those online???

Just to throw another option out there, months back another train rider posted about using the paypal shipping backdoor to pay for postage. I've been doing this for months and love it! I have a postage scale that I got off ebay years ago. I weight the envie (I ship in the small manila envies), go to paypal for postage and print the label. The paypal way does require you get delivery confirmation for 19 cents, but otherwise it's the same rate as going to the post office. My envies are usually in the 4.x ounce range. I round up to 5 oz so I don't run in to issues in the event my or their scales are off. The 5 oz envie I shipped out Tuesday cost me $2.09 and I drop it in the big blue box at work. No going out of the way to the post office and standing in line.

I guess overall I'm paying 81 cents more than what ShiPoo is paying to ship approximately the same weight. For me, personally, the convenience of not having to go to the post office and stand in line more than makes up for that. Not to mention the extra gas I burn to take an out of the way trip the PO.

I select the Package/Thick envelope and if you ever go over with coupons with this option you have WAY too much time!! Here's the description....Package/Thick envelope - A package is a parcel less than 84" when you add the length + girth. Length is the longest side of a package. Girth is the distance if you wrapped a string around the two smaller sides of a package. A Thick envelope is a large envelope exceeding 3/4" thickness.
