I have very thick hair...and it's long. I had no problems, and that's usually my first complaint in a room :goodvibes

Also: I meant to multi-quote, but forgot :upsidedow KatMark, if you get down to WDW at Christmastime, try the Yuletide tour!

Okay...I'm lost. What is the Yuletid tour?

Nice pics DearDaisyinDurham! My boyfriend and I will be at CSR in 13 days !!:thumbsup2:yay::yay::yay: too bad the decorations will be down by then but not an issue.. cant wait!!!!

:) Thanks for the nice comments on the pictures!! It is SO :cloud9: beautiful there, all the time but especially with the Christmas decorations. :santa:

A few dining comments - we had free dining which DH said was too much :guilty: food, but really, can that ever be true? :rotfl2:

We tried Pepper Market for the first time & are big fans. We returned almost every day of our one week stay. Each time we went in we requested to go tickets & then it was very easy to go choose an entree, then if there was a short wait for the entree (say, for our favorite pizza to be made ;) ) then we'd go get our drinks (usually chose Dasani) and desserts - really tempting goodies at the bakery for dessert and by the end of the week between the two of us we had sampled almost every treat.

Pepper Market favorites for us were the pizzas (SO good), roast chicken, chicken quesadillas, salmon, and the grilled veggies.

Having your card stamped at each station (entree, bakery & drink station) was easy & check out was quick - the napkins & cutlery etc are off to the side right before the cashiers. The take out boxes are large so each time we were given a large white handled bag to make things easy.

If you take your time to look around & ask the CM's if you have questions, you'll find it fairly easy to navigate. I can't answer any tipping questions as we ate out by the lake or at the pool, etc. (not inside).

HTH - it was easier than I though it would be & we were very happy w/ the quality of the food selections.

Cafe Rix - We did use Cafe Rix early am & late pm for snacks/drink refills. Their coffee is VERY good!! Free coffee in your mugs & it's NOT the icky stuff. You can fill at the dispensers or ask for the coffee at the coffee bar - not specialty coffees but the house coffee is excellent. Cold caffiene - there was Coke, Diet Coke, Cherry Coke and I'm sorry I don't remember beyond that but maybe Orange & Sprite?

We had a couple of QS meals oustide of CSR (Japan, Earl's, Starring Rolls) but really liked Pepper Market best! That says alot as I'm a big Earls & Starring Rolls fan as well.

For those of you who have had some concerns, the CSR's eating establishments have ALL been added to the 2010 dining plan.

We also ate at PM a couple times and were also quite impressed. I was more than a little worried after reading some of the reviews here on DIS.
We had no problems ordering from the different stations. Outstanding value for CS credit on the DP.... The quesadillas were awesome.

One night I ordered a take-out pizza at around 10:00pm to bring back to the room. Took only 10 minutes to make it fresh and it was the best pizza I've ever had on WDW property.:thumbsup2

I was hoping someone could help with a room request.

It will be Myself, DH and DS 2.5 We will be driving not so concerned about the buses, but would like to be close to the dining area.

Any suggestions?

Cabanas 9A or 9B or Castias 1, 2 or 3...all are a short walking distance to the main building (registration, food, lounge, gift shop, etc.).

Wow...I have been gone for a while...another "new" thread for the CSR.

Just Dropping in to wish Kathy a Merry Christmas. :santa:

Please let us know all about the "surprise". And Merry Christmas to you too.

I just learned that the Dig Site pool will be closed for rehab from January 11 - January 31. At this time, the hot tub, playground and Siesta's will also be closed. The quiet pools will be open.

Bummer:sad2: We're running the marathon on 1/10 and staying until the 15th. We were really looking forward to spending time at the pool and hot tub later that week to recover from the race. I'm not surprised though. We were there at the same time last year and the day after the marathon all the construction walls came up all over the parks.

Only 16 days until we leave:yay:

I'm sorry you won't be able to enjoy the hot tub, but you could always splurge for a massage (I get one every year at the CSR).

Have a great trip and a great run in the marathon!

The surprise is a soft toy present (red with blue bow) that has a pair of legs sticking out of the bottom. when you open the velcro lid mickey pops up and we have also included a letter inviting the girls to visit Mickey! On the present is a bow with thier name embroidered on and we have attached a pooh bear balloon!!

Wish I could take credit but we got the "mickey pressie" from UK disney shop.

Their little faces should be an absolute picture - if not we will leave them at home:lmao:

I'm sure their faces will be a "picture" and we expect you to post a picture so we can see the surprise in their eyes. :)

Once we had tried the pizza, we "saved" our last CS credit to get pizza on our way to the airport. Their pizza is soooo good!!! :cloud9:

Nuts! The pool is one of the best things about CSR . . . According to explorethemagic.com, CSR guests will be able to use the Caribbean Beach pool, but that'll mean a bit of a ride. I wonder if we could get a rate adjustment if we called - well, who would we call? Any ideas?
