COOL Disney shots (angles, composition, etc.) - SHARE YOURS!

Pixiedust, did you stand in the queue area to take this photo? It looks like we had a similar idea :rotfl: - or that we both tend to look up

Yes...the pic was taken from the queue. But...I think you are on to something. We both spend a lot of time looking up. LOL

If you're looking for inspiration for some different shots, a good thread well worth a look is one on here called "Show me photos an average tourist won't take .." or something similarly worded. Some amazing photos in there.

I actually have that thread bookmarked. Only problem is I found it so far in that I'll never get through them all. :confused3

(All of these helped along in post-processing by Topaz Adjust.)

Totally cool shots! Especially love the Sorcerer's Hat pic. I have Topaz Adjust...I'll have to play around with that. Thanks.

Here are a couple from my last trip.
1-The Tower of Terror when the doors are open.

2-Space Mountain when you take off.

Great shots. I'll have to remember to take some "in ride" shots. What type of camera did you shoot these with? I'm always scared to take my DSLR out on rides like these.

Here is one I took from an angle not always seen. During Star Wars Weekend they open up behind RnR for Darth Maul's shop and that is how I was able to get this angle.

I guess I will be adding Star Wars Weekends to my list of "times to go". I'm sure my Star Wars obsessed son won't object. Great shot BTW!

OMG....LOVE LOVE LOVE! Such a cool shot of the Crossroads!

I'm not sure what it is, but I absolutely LOVE balloon shots! Great picture!

Very creative! :thumbsup2

Tink is my favorite character and this just totally says it all. It's so simple, but perfect!

Very nice picture. however, I'm at a loss....Where is this?

Is this thread for WDW pics only or can DLR pics be added?

Radiator Springs Racers, Disney California Adventure.

By all means...of course DLR pics are welcome! :cool1:

I have never been to DLR but hope to make it there one day as well. Might as well start compiling my list of shots to take there as well.

I absolutely LOVE your shot. Nice work!

Do you know that is one sentence that stuck in my mind from your eBook! I can honestly say it changed the way I looked at things. Aside from the typical vacation snapshots of my DD, more than half of my photos are of details. Your eBook is BRILLIANT!! :)

That is such a wonderful thing to read! Thank you so much for the kind words.

That's inside the Wilderness Lodge. I found it during a Christmas stay there. It's a bit off the main hall, but it's a nice, quiet place to relax away from all the noise in the main lodge. This was in the Villas section.

Both pictures were taken with Pentax k5 w/grip & Sigma 24-70 f/2.8. I take all my gear on all the rides that I can. On water rides I put my bag in a trash bag. I keep my camera out. Its water resistance and I have a lens that water resistance also.

I have not yet been to the Wilderness Lodge. I am hoping to do a little resort hopping on my next trip...this place looks spectacular.

Just wanted to say that I found your blog and your work is AMAZING! Words can't begin to describe....WOW! I just downloaded your Capture the Magic eBook. I can't wait to read it.

Here are couple of mine, don't know they are that unique but I like them.

First, one from Epcot with a little help from Photoshop.

Some great shots here :thumbsup2
I too love taking photos the "other way" down Main Street and trying to get different angles of the castle.
And a balloons-with-castle-in-background is on my list of must-get shots next time I go to WDW.

Does Disneyland Paris count? I haven't been to WDW or DLR since I've had a decent camera & those shots aren't worth posting (no offense to P&S photos posted on this thread, it's just my particular P&S was very bad).

This is Phantom Manor. I knew I wanted a photo of it through the railings so I was walking along trying to find the best vantage point when I found a spider web and thought that suited the ride pretty well. ;)

Sorry if the sizes/quality are off. You know Photobucket.

I am totally loving everyone's pictures. Keep them coming! :thumbsup2 I would have never thought of some of your creative ideas (like the various castle angles, or shooting the castle and Space Mountain from the Swiss Family Treehouse!. WOW....just WOW! Great ideas!
