Contemporary Resort and Free Dining

Booked FD at the Contemp today. I wanted a standard room but got the Garden View. I had to do a split reservation (8/23-8/26 and 8/26-9/3) to get the FD. Was anyone able to get FD with the Standard Room?

There aren't many standard rooms at the Contemporary anymore because the North Tower has been or will shortly be demolished. Even at full price they are hard to get

Our original ressie was for standard room. When I called yesterday I had to upgrade to GV. Oh, well for $300 more we are getting FD for 5 adults for 6 days. Worth it to me.
