Contemporary: chef mickeys

Can i get a resv. at chef mickeys even tho i am not staying on site in disney..... i wanted to go there on one of our off days that we are not going to any parks... do i just drive to comtemporary and park there and go to restaurant?

Yes, you can eat there even if you stay off property. We did it last time we were there staying at a timeshare. They will ask you where you are staying when you call Disney Dining, but they just like to keep tons of info on you. Maybe they will send you a postcard code in the mail if they see you aren't staying on property.

We always have a final character breakfast at Chef Mickey's before heading home, and so far have not stayed at CR. (It seems to stretch the vacation & be more festive than just packing up & going home.) Allow yourself ample time to get to the restaurant though. When you arrive at the Contemporary security gate, have your PS name & # available. They've always checked us off their list. So I think that is part of the reason why, when you make your PS, they ask where you are staying. We have sometimes had to park quite a distance from the towers - another reason to give yourself sufficient time. Did you know that - if desired - they will take a photo of your party in front of a big Chef Mickey's plate? You can then purchase a packet which includes an 8x10, some wallets & I think magnets. (We always split the packet between family members, so I can't remember everything that's included.) We LOVE Chef Mickey's - hope your family does too!
