Dish is conspiring against me and there hasn't been anything decent on ALL WEEK that I've been stuck here. Ugh...

I have a lot of DVDs but of course I've seen them all. I'm contemplating pulling out some Shakespeare (a la Kenneth Brannaugh) though. Whadya think...Much Ado about Nothing, or Henry V...Hamlet seems too depressing when I'm already cabin crazy...DEFINITELY not Othello.

Good choice. I love Henry V too, but I think when you've been stuck in the house with your bickering children for a week a romantic comedy is a better idea than a war movie.

i agree. in fact, i'll choose something amusing over any other type of story (except agatha christie) just about any time.

Crazy notions up ahead --

First, did y'all know that the evil GWB and Cheney actually privately visited the troops? ???? 'to lift their spirits' of all things??!?!?!' What's up with that? And, to make matters worse, they didn't let the MSM know - shock and horrors? Can a POTUS actually do something without the MSM's permission? Can a POTUS actually care about the people working for him?

This was so moving to me. I respect this so much more because it was so private. He could have done this with cameras blaring, but it's 1000 times more meaningful when done privately.

Thankfully, yes! I live about 50 minutes away. We don't have passes there, so we don't go very often, maybe once every couple-3 years. This past summer, we stayed at UO for 2 nights and had a blast. We'd never stayed there before. We'd like to do 3 nights when HP Land opens. The kids had a ball-this was the 1st time that all of them were tall enough to do everything they wanted to.

Just got back from the malls and man oh man are they packed to the gills....but but but where is all the Christmas music this year....none of the stores had any

Everyone who's so inclined, please pray hard for my family member tonight and tomorrow. The biopsies are tomorrow. Please pray first and foremost that she's okay, but also that the testing will be done correctly with no problems, is as painless as possible, and that it will be accurate. Please pray for me too. I'm very scared.

Ok, confession time. I'm sort of familiar with Glenn Beck, but I've never seen his show. I just saw a preview of his new show on FOX, and I have to admit that he sounds like my kind of guy.

I doubt you'll get sick, Soarin. I've been to WDW 10 times now, and I've only gotten sick on maybe 2 of the trips. Just wash your hands, try not to touch your face while you're at the parks, etc.


I just like to pretend books 6 & 7 never happened. I hate Hermione and Ron together, and don't get me started on my disdain for Ginny Sue, er, I mean Ginny. I wanted Harry and Hermione to get together, or even Hermione and Krum. But no, the smart girl always gets stuck with the immature, rude dolt.

Well hearing such things from you guys makes me feel alot better. And yeah, HP #6 and #7..... ummm, I rewrote those in my head. And what I came up with is a lot better than what Ms. Rowling wrote...

I'm here, but I'm afraid I'm not very entertaining. I'm sooooooooooooo bored. I'm sick and tired of being stuck at home. I want to go somewhere....anywhere. Heck I'd be excited about a trip to the grocery store right about now. Sigh.

According to a book of mine with info on US and IOA, yes, that's right. I'll be going to US/IOA for that!

Hey you! Glad you decided to pop in and say hello! Yeah, the stores today were ! I was in Books-A-Million and I swear I've never seen so many people in there in my life! I just wanted to pick up that one book (got the last copy, I guess they knew to save it for me ) and I waited FOREVER to get checked out!! Same with Wal-Mart. Our stores have played nothing BUT Christmas music (excuse me, winter holiday music) for weeks!!! I am so sick of it!! I know that sounds bad, but how many different versions of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" are there, anyway??

No, I haven't. I'd love to see some though. My mom hollered at me earlier to let me know she'd seen a commercial advertising his show in January but darn, I missed it.
