Would you consider this racist? If not, IMO it certainly does fly in the face of King's message of judging a person not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

sounds as though they are boycotting businesses owned by whites, asians, etc. that is discrimination. while they have the right to purchase goods and services from any business they wish, deliberately targeting businesses owned by one single race is as discriminatory as is deliberately not using goods and services owned by other races.

goodness knows nobody would obtain funding to follow economic results of purchasing only from white-owned businesses, so it is beyond me that this would be acceptable to anybody. except for those following a particular agenda.

this ain't equality folks. if equality is the goal, equality must be practiced.

That's pathetic!!:sad2: If whites pledged to only buy from whites, oh gosh, I can't even imagine what would happen. So I do find them to be very racist.:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: I wonder what Martin Luther King, the same man who advocated not judging by the color of someone's skin but rather by their character, would say.

Debbie, your quilts are absolutely gorgeous!!! I really love the diaper bag. I am not a quilter AT ALL, but my mother is. Here is the one and only quilt I have ever made. I got the idea from my cousin. It is made of old blue jeans. She has boys and she made a couple of large ones (this one is a large throw size, or a small twin size) of these for them years ago. They kept them in the truck, and used them for sitting on or covering up with at baseball and football games. She told me she loved them because grass shakes right off, dirt hardly shows, and they are practically indestructible. Plus of course you can throw them in the washer and dryer with no special care. There's no quilting stuff (batting???) between the layers. You just make two sides and sew them together, then sew ties here and there between both layers to hold them together. I made this one for my oldest, and she left it here when she moved out. The younger two fight over it all the time. I need to make them each one...but this was hard for me. :lmao: I have been saving up the holey jeans though, with the idea in mind that one day I'll do it...

And here are the snow pictures I promised. Our snow Santa:

That's my daughter and I. My son was cold and went inside. We had a blast making the snowman. It's the biggest one we've ever made, and we didn't even have to get down to bare ground to get enough snow (which we usually do :lmao: ). If you look back again, I edited the links. I had posted the roses twice and didn't have the raspberries in there.

dd is so cute, and are you wearing a mickey jacket per chance?

your other photos would make pretty cards...have you tried printing on 1/2 sheet of photo paper, then pasting onto a folded 8.5 x 11?

Thank you. :) She is a very pretty little girl. I can say that with no guilt because she looks absolutely nothing like me.

They would make pretty cards, wouldn't they?

And yes, it is a 50th anniversary Disneyland jacket. Here's the back of it:

That would be funny. I don't have any Mickey ears though. :rolleyes1 . My son has a stocking hat with a Mickey face and Mickey ears on it, but it's toddler sized. Definitely wouldn't fit on Santa the Snowman. :confused3
