Everyone who's so inclined, please pray hard for my family member tonight and tomorrow. The biopsies are tomorrow. Please pray first and foremost that she's okay, but also that the testing will be done correctly with no problems, is as painless as possible, and that it will be accurate. Please pray for me too. I'm very scared.

Our neighbors slogged 1/4 mile through the snow to bring my kids' Christmas presents over today. They brought my son a little-boy sized skateboard. He and my daughter are in the kitchen with it right now. He's sitting on it Indian-style, wearing his Santa hat, and she is launching him across the kitchen. It's pretty darn cute.

That's sweet!! My dad brought a ton of gifts home today that everyone at the hospital where he works (he's the administrator) gave him. They make homemade food in the cafeteria (this is a twenty bed country hospital, keep that in mind) that will blow your mind, it's so good.... the lady that cooks it all compiled a cookbook of all the recipes she uses and gave it to my mom, so we'll be eating really good from now on.

Has anyone seen any previews for Glen Beck's new show? I've only seen him, no hit of new logos or sets. I hope he doesn't change his Art Deco logos, I LOVE that stuff.

No, I haven't. I'd love to see some though. My mom hollered at me earlier to let me know she'd seen a commercial advertising his show in January but darn, I missed it.

I've been looking and am so excited. I got a survey question asking what I wanted to drink at The Three Broomsticks: butterbeer or pumpkin juice. Me and over 80% of the respondents said "Butterbeer!"

I am very spoiled having all this so close. So...this just means you'll have to take the big trip over!

This was so moving to me. I respect this so much more because it was so private. He could have done this with cameras blaring, but it's 1000 times more meaningful when done privately.

Ok, confession time. I'm sort of familiar with Glenn Beck, but I've never seen his show. I just saw a preview of his new show on FOX, and I have to admit that he sounds like my kind of guy.

You're going to love him! He's the kind of guy who talks great, and you end up screaming ME TOO! at the screen!

Birthday dinner went well, albeit I'm 200 pounds lighter. I keep thanking GOD, literally, that I was called back and we can still do our usual celebrations this time of year! Too many birthdays and anniversaries, in addition to Christmas. Two lobsteritas does make you feel younger, just in case people were wondering!

I never saw Glenn as that far out there. Some of his guests? Now, I still laugh about the "buy rice" guy. I was unemployed, we were cutting everthing out, and I still was not going to be convinced that we should buy up large bags of rice. Maybe its because we don't eat a lot of rice? LOL

I should be packing but would rather just not fool with that right now.... plus I'm so shocked at myself, I have actually left Glenn's first book that I bought today (The Real America) stay safely out of my reach buried under all the stuff I'm taking with me. as y'all may have heard, california doesn't have enough money to operate past february. arnold is being pretty hard-nosed (thankfully) and has directed representatives to make cuts. 'course that isn't popular here, because it means cutting nonsense programs, and these guys want to be elected again, but whatev.

they are attempting to pass tax increases, obliterating the 2/3 majority vote as provided by proposition 13. part of this attempt is calling the increase a "fee" rather than a tax. gimme a break!
