Confused about LTT

I'm confused about the Liberty Tree Tavern. Is dinner here ordered from the menu, or is it a one price buffet? I know there are characters, and I checked the menu database, but I'm still confused! Consideing P.S. here prior to MNSSHP but have DD with "selective" dining habits! Thanks!

This restaurant (at dinner) is all-you-can-eat family style service. That means that your servers will bring platters of food to your table, and you can ask for more of anything you particularly enjoy.

Have fun!

I probably should mention that DD's idea of meat is limited to the pre-chewed varieties- hot dogs, burgers, chicken fingers, sausage...the list is short. She also doesn't like mashed potatoes. Big fan of pasta, rice and macaroni and cheese. Will a LTT P.S. be a waste of money (not of time, as it will get us into MNSSHP early!) and will DD get enough dinner? I, of course, am the original carnivore and think this sounds stupendous!

LTT is already VERY booked on party nights so you need to decide fast!

Based on what you DD likes, you may have better luck with Crystal Palace's buffet.

Have fun!

We love LTT and Crystal Palace- We really enjoy having breakfast at Crystal Palace adn dinner at LTT.

Leebee - I like your description of your DD's favourite foods as being "pre-chewed". :D My DS is similar, but he and my DD both enjoyed the Stouffers mac & cheese, roast turkey, veggies and mashed potatoes at the LTT dinner. Normally (and I'm assuming at MNSSHP too) it's possible to pay a $5.00 entertainment fee at character meals and skip the food entirely. However, for $5.00 more your DD may be very happy with the mac & cheese.

Best of Luck!

I have also heard that Disney is very accomodating for picky kids. I have read that you can order off a kids menu (fries and nuggets or something like) and skip the meal for DD.
Can someone verify this....or you could call Disney Dining and ask. I know you can do this at O'hana's - which we will be doing for picky DD in October.
Good Luck!

We'd go to CP if it was an option, but we won't be using a regular park admission that day, just going to MNNSHP. CM at wdw tells me only LTT is an option for folks with just MNNSHP tix. CindyAnn, thanks for info about mac 'n cheese, also veggies, is there salad too? DD is funny; Boma is her favorite restaurant, followed by Spoodles, but she'll have trouble finding dinner at LTT. Go figure!

For the last 2 years at least they have let all party goers in after 4:00p with just their party ticket whether they were eating anywhere or not.

I highly doubt they would take PS for Crystal Palace, Tony's and the Castle party nights and expect only those people to use a park ticket AND a party ticket to eat there.

I guess things could change this year from previous years, but I doubt it. The exact same thing happened last year. Some CM were saying you couldn't get in with just the party ticket after 4:00p and others said there'd be no problem.

I've eaten at both LTT and CP with only my party ticket.

I'm sure we'll hear stories next month from those who attend the first few MNSSHP parties on whether they had problems entering the park with just their party ticket before 7:00p.
