Our resort reservations are 62 days out today (Thursday, May 12). And we have our park tickets and everything linked on MDE...

When I went online tonight to "practice"--I found it odd that it would have allowed me to book over the next 30 days nothing beyond that...how can I be confident that my July 13-20 dates will indeed be shown as available once I hit midnight tomorrow?

Thanks for anything to put my mind at ease...

You are 62 days out. Your window expands when you are 60 days out.

Just know that it works. That's why it is a definite 60-day window.

It looks like you have a room only reservations with tickets bought separately since you are able to see the 30 day window. If that is the case you can see the 30 day rolling window because any guest with tickets can book fastpasses equal to the number of days on the ticket for the next 30 days. At midnight on your 60 day window the resort reservation with "unlock" the extra 30 days you get for staying on site.

I had this same freak out my first package stay ever because I couldn't even "practice" and was explained that it all unlocks when it is suppose to.

Everyone talks about the 60 day window but it seems to me there's more than one way you could count the days. Can someone give a concrete example so I know which day to be ready to book?

There's only one way to calculate the opening of your FP booking window:
Check-in date minus 60 days

Here is a date calculator:
http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html

After you calculate the exact day, remember it opens at 7:00a ET.
(ETA: Booking window now opens at 7:00a effective on May 18)

How would it be possible for there to be more than one way to count the days? days? The day before is one day, the day before that is two days, etc.

You would be surprised. Not DVC related but interest. Some of our creditors counted first and last day, some just counted days between. Counting first and last day that day would be 1 day. That day and the day before 2 days. etc. It was a way to stealthily get an extra day of interest out of us. But, for FP+ you are right.

Johde answered it for me, you can count the check-in day, or not. You can only count days in between. In theory you could come up with three different results, although one would be weird. But it sounds like the Disney answer is the most logical one.

I am at 60 and it keeps saying I do not have a valid ticket??? All of my reservations show with our tickets on the other pages. As soon as I click the fastpass page it doesn't see the tickets. HELP!!! I have been at this for hours! I was able to do online checkin

What is your check in date?

I was at -60 and I kept getting the same error. I started trying at midnight Florida time last night and finally gave up after a few hours. Woke up this morning and it is now working. So it had to have been a glitch in the system.

60 days today. Tried for hours there had to have been a glitch. Called tech support and they fixed it somehow. I am fastpass ready!

Does nobody look at their vacation packet from Disney that they get after booking their packages....all IMPORTANT DATES are listed, why are we calculating, just look at the date that disney tells you, if it matches, then book :)

Date for Dining Reservations
Date for FastPass+ Reservations
Date for Last Payment
Date to Start Your Vacation

ALL GIVEN in the book, no calculations needed :)

That's just it! I KNEW it was the right date but the system wasn't working. That's why I was confused. And then I started to second guess things... But truthfully, I never thought to look in the booklet!

There's a post on mesaboy's thread from hiroMYhero that says that according to Kenny the Pirate, the booking time now starts at 7:00 am Eastern.

ETA: Actually, it's not supposed to start until tomorrow.

It was like that for me last week. Showed 30 day availability prior to the 60 day booking window opening. Then when the window opened, I had 60 day availability. The 30 day is there in case you want to use your tickets prior to your resort stay.

Actually, the 30 days is there because basically when you have a room-only reservation with tickets purchased separately, the system doesn't "see" your reservation until you're 60 days out, and therefore views you as an offsite guest.

And because you might want to use the tickets before your resort stay. When you buy tickets separately, you can use them at any time.

Any time you have any unused tickets tied to your MDE account you can make FP reservations 30 days out.

I have no-expiration tickets with days still left .. I can make Fast Passes for EVERY day for the next 30 days if I wanted.

When your 60 days hits you will be able to make the reservations. The system knows :).
