Confirming Town Car transfers

I e-mailed (2x) the TC Co. I reserved for our trip this Monday asking for a confirmation. I have not received a reply and I am staring to get a little worried.
Is confirming reservations necessary or am I just a little paranoid? I don't know if I should send an e-mail, cancel with this Co. and hope I can get another at such a late date?
Any such experiences?
 
Have you tried calling them? If it were me I'd be a little concerned that they had not responded to my emails. I'd still have another reservation in hand before I cancelled this one.
 
I am a compulsive planner, and I used to always reconfirm my reservations just for my own peace of mind. I haven't done it on our past several trips (we use Happy), and so far so good...they have always been there at the correct place and time. But it would worry me a little if my emails weren't answered...when I confirmed, I always got a response back very promptly.
