Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2026 (Feb 26-Mar 2, 2026)

Depending on where my job situation and finances are by the time registration rolls around this summer, I might be in for 2026.

Princess is tough with my work schedule (always have a deliverable around end of February), I had to log onto work during my PTO this Princess which wasn't fun. So I said this would be my last one for a while. Well, I had such a good time, I'm already thinking about going again on Wednesday night but working remote on Thursday/Friday and only taking off Monday. If I forgo the 5k then I think I could make that work. Why is this such an addiction!

Jumping in and following along! I did the Princess Challenge in 2018. My youngest DD is now running and wants to do the race weekend. I am so excited! I think I'll do the 5 and 10k races while she goes for all three. Waiting to get my room-only reservation. I called last week, but the cast member said you can't call and do this type of reservation 499 days out anymore. So I am waiting for the online booking to start. I have a lot of reading and catching up to do on Disney's run weekend info!

No the only challenges that have 5k included are dopey (5k/10k/half/full) and springtime (5k/10k/10 mile) aside from those + goofy (half/full) all other in person challenges are 10k/half

Might try to do the 5k with my 5 year old, who will be 6 for next year's race. He has recently expressed interest in doing a 5k with me after beasting out 2 miles at the track out of nowhere the other day. Now to convince DH.

I'm planning on running to get CTC next year! It'll be my first time running any WDW race since the Wine & Dine 5k in 2018.

I absolutely love Princess weekend but I don’t think I can make it work with the date change this year. I registered for Goofy instead, but if the themes are enough to sway me I might have to try for a very short one race weekend only trip…

Yes, I saw this!! I love watching the guesses. Honestly, I love this weekend so much that I feel like we can't go wrong--just happy to be a part of it all (assuming the registration gods take mercy on me, lol). But with that said, I am always hoping for Jasmine. .

So do we know if Brooks will release another series of shoes for Princess weekend (like they did for Springtime Surprise?) And do we think that the shoes will be themed accordingly? As I sit here in this daydream of mine, does that mean I could potentially see a princess jasmine shoe released? OMG NO WAY. Ok ok....back to work....enough of this lack of productivity....

I would assume they will be releasing shoes every weekend. Maybe they’ll keep the Mickey and Minnie designs, but I’m sure there will be weekend-specific designs every weekend.

My brain is trash today. "Themes" are usually released two weeks before club registration? Or general registration (and therefore 1 week before club)? DH and I talked through MW, and he agrees that a 1br makes more sense from a savings standpoint for meals, ease of laundry, and convenience with DD and my early wakeups for the HM and full. My "cutoff" date for the 7mo window for DVC would be June 6th, and if themes are 2wks before club, that would put those June 3rd. So I can see if I need to hoard points for a Merida theme.

Last year was 3 weeks before general, 2 weeks before club. I still have the registration appointment on my calendar from last year and gen reg was on July 30th. Themes were released July 9/10th.

I think it's usually two but occasionally one, and whether anything else is going on that week can be a factor. If it's two weeks then we might get DL tomorrow... we'll see!

For those of you who sign up for princess through a charity each year, do you have a sense of when they start to advertise bib availability? When I search now, I mostly find January weekend bibs. I ran the challenge with charity last year and recall signing up the month prior. I am seriously considering it again due to the stress of registration day.

Also, I am officially putting in my guesses for princess themes (and fairly certain I will be wrong...but will check back here in June)

5k: Pochantas
10k: Moana
Half: Merida
Challenge: Elena

Needless to say, princess weekend is my jam and I cannot wait!

I'm hoping they'll eventually do a not-Princess weekend, mostly so they can use Leia. Or theme a race entirely to female Star Wars characters like Leia, Padme, Ahsoka, Rey. The dream!
