I just watched a vlog where they were discussing that at Comic Rays, when vlogger asked for a condiment, he was pointed to a bin where he and everyone else can stick their hands in to grab condiment packets. Isn’t there a better way to do this? I would rather that only a CM touch the condiments. The vlogger ended up passing on condiments. Guess you need sanitizer wipes to wipe down packets. :crazy2:

How are other Disney restaurants handling this?

Same at quick service at Riviera. Here now. Agree should be better way.

Rosie's at DHS had packets freely available too.

I saw that on a vlog and was really surprised. Literally every restaurant near me hands out condiments. There are none out for people to self serve.

not Disney but the small park I work at has CMs handing out condiments and that is the biggest complaint we are getting. guess it is because most dont think about them until seated at table. more complaints on this than having to have CM get your drink instead of self serve.

Gasparilla Grill at Grand Floridian, the CMs give you condiments. I didn't even notice the condiment situation elsewhere, but maybe because we ordered things that didn't need condiments?

I hate that a cast member gets your drinks for you at the resorts. I think that it makes no sense for someone to hand their cup to the cast member and the cast member then taking the next person's drink, etc. They are not changing their gloves in between people, which is the whole point of gloves. They don't magically disinfect themselves between cups. Can you imagine how many people that they can potentially infect if one of the first people of their shift has passed the virus to the cast member on the cup and then they just keep passing it around. I know that contact infection is low, but it can happen and this was their theory for having cast member fill the cup in the first place.

I thought the cast member was handing you a cup to fill your mug.

thats not how that works at all. They fill a paper cup and hand it to you. They just look at your mug. They don’t touch anything that is touched by a customer

I always bring a big bag of condiments along on the trip. That way I can have what I want rather than what they have.

I was under the impression that you go and buy your meal, the cashier gives you the paper cup and then you hand the paper cup to the cast member filling the drink. For those who don't have refillable mugs and just buy a drink, don't the cashiers give you the paper cup to fill?

at my park you have to bring your receipt to drink area and person there gives you the cup with your drink. you do not touch cup until after it is filled. all of this is after you pay for your meal. works the same for either refill or drink with meal. and from what we have found those paper cups are not recyclable and makes a lot of trash when dumbed into mugs
