Computer Issues making ADR....

here's the situation- for the past two months i've been on the Disney site a couple times a day trying fill out my ADR's and have had no problems (except i can't get the last reservation i really want)....

last night i noticed something unusual- i would put in the desired reservation and i would get the Dis pop up screen that reads "please wait as we complete your request." Problem is the request is never completed and it goes on and on....

tried it on another computer, same thing.....tried different restaurants/dates/etc, same thing.....

deleted my internet history, files, etc and nothing....ran an anti-spyware program to clean it out and nothing.....deleted temp files- nothing...

it does work on anther computer which is a work computer only occasionally used....

anyone else have this problem??? any ideas or fixes???

found the issue and its with the browser- Firefox 5.0, which i upgraded to in the past 48hrs....when i used IE 8.0 on the same computer there's no issue...

maybe that will help someone moving forward....
 
I have been having the same issues with firefox after doing an update. So does this mean we won't be able to do online ADR's with firefox anymore? Or do you think this will be something that will "work itself out"?
 
I had this problem last night, but it was working earlier today...

i don't think it will work itself out- there's got to be a fix or maybe the next update...

My husband sent both Disney and firefox an e-mail. We'll see if anything happens. I guess I'll just have to go back to IE for the time being.

Oh well.
 
Same issue in Chrome. I absolutely hate IE, but for making dining reservations it looks like its the only thing working consistently right now.
 
Probably will be a problem with online until Disney updates to work with Firefox 5.0, I would have thought Disney would test it with the latest versions. IE for now.

Why I love these boards, having the same issue, thought it was Disney's website being, well, Disney. Guess I have to cut them some slack this time! ;)

I haven't opened 'Exploder' in months, maybe years on this particular machine. Here we go!
 
I saw the little message to update to 5.0 a little while ago. So glad I read this post! Now I will wait and see what happens before I update.

Me too! I was blaming the Disney site. Afte reading this post a couple of days ago, I switched to Firefox 3.5 and had no problems switching any of my ADRs around.

I don't think it will work on FF5 anytime soon. From what I've been able to figure out, Mozilla "enhanced" the security measures used in Firefox and any add-on or webpage that doesn't meet the requirements set forth by them won't work. If you want to stick with FF and use the internet freely, you'll have to downgrade to Firefox 4 (not easily found) or Firefox 3.6 which is easily accessible on the Mozilla webpage.
 
This is just driving me NUTS!!!! My system upgraded to Explorer 9 a while back and the Disney dining booking hasn't worked on it since. I switched to Firefox which was great until this upgrade the other night. Someone suggested Chrome, but that was no better. I was initially taking it as a sign that my ADRs must be perfect :rotfl: but I NEED to fix this. I guess I'll try and find an older version of Firefox.

But the Google Chrome on our netbook has consistently had issues with using the WDW website-with dining reservations and checking our existing reservations.

Not sure what is going on with the netbook, but Chrome on our other 2 computers seems to access the WDW website just fine.

chrome must've done an enhancement as earlier in this thread someone said they were having issues with it....
