I can't believe you are building snowmen in October!!! I haven't even bought winter clothes for my two yet. Super cute snowman though!

oh man snow in Oct!!?? and to think it's been in the high 90s in the FL the past week, it just makes me sick!!

In the Ohio/PA area it's been in the 50s and 60s and I'm thinking ohhhh winter will be there before I know it!

It's just wrong...I watched out the window all day at work as it came down. The funny thing is 2 weeks ago we were sitting on a patio and it was in the 80's.....:confused3

I want to be there right now!!! It's been -10C with the wind chill here this week. Makes me want to weep

Day 3, Monday August 10, 2009
So today was the day Queen and Jasmine were arriving. The girls were excited. They were’t arriving until 2;30 or 3 pm depending on their flights and ME timing so we were heading to Blizzard Beach for the morning. We had never been to a water park in all our visits so we were all very excited. I had a much better sleep, I only woke up twice! We were up at 7 and had breakfast in the room (thank you Garden Grocer). I ran over to concierge to buy one child admission to the water park at 8 am. We had three admissions from Queen from a previous trip where there was an error. We left the room at 8:40 and the bus was just pulling up. We were so lucky with the busses. We were the only ones on the bus and then one other family got on. Blizzard Beach was the first stop. We were very excited. There’s nothing like going to a place you have been several times and doing something new. We made good use of our pre-ordered photopass here. We took pictures on the sleigh and with the snow family.

Our first time at BB!

How cute is she?

Love this picture of Snow White, so beautiful!

We headed to Pike’s Peak and set up our bag with our towels on the chairs and Geodoc and Snow White went off to explore the bigger areas and Mini Montana and I stayed in the kids’ area. There was a photopass fellow there too and he got some cute shots of Mini Montana in the water fall. She had such a hoot here and then she found the tube ride. I highly recommend this ride as there is a lifeguard at the top that helps the child get on the tube and a lifeguard at the bottom that catches them and tells them to get off the tube. I got to sit in the shade in a chair and watch her having so much fun. I had a water camera that I still have to get developed so I took pictures of her with that and watched the geckos that were keeping me company. After a while Mini Montana decided we should do more so we headed to the lazy river. We were very close to an entrance with lots of tubes so we got Mini Montana into a child one and I put an adult one over my head so I could hold on to her tube easily. You know when you have no abdominal strength whatsoever tubes are not really relaxing because once you’re in you’re stuck! So we headed off down the lazy river and for the longest time we were the only ones in the river, it seemed. We had so much fun getting wet with the different waterfalls and such. After quite a while Mini Montana had had enough. Now I just had to remember where exactly we got on. Hmmm, no, that doesn’t look familiar, maybe the next one? We played that game for a while and then there was a huge people jam and it turned out to be our entrance/exit spot yeah! We headed over to the wave pool and got her a tube but she was too little and the waves too big. She really didn’t enjoy the waves. We found a photopass photographer and then headed back to our meeting spot. I still have to upload more of the photopass so I will do that later. I really want to get this installment up! I stopped for a frozen mocha and strawberry smoothie for the girls. They have no straws there because of the pools. Geodoc and Snow showed up very shortly after we arrived back and they had enjoyed a fun morning too. The kids were getting hungry so we left about 1140 and didn’t have to wait for a bus! We had such a great time there we could have stayed all day! It was unfortunate that we didn’t meet up so we could switch kids. Snow White had wanted to try some of the other slides and didn’t get a chance to. We know we will be back! We were back at the resort by 11:55. We all showered and dressed and headed down to the Turf Club.
We had a lunch ADR at the Turf Club at 1 and 1:30. The 1:30 ressie I made last night thinking one o’clock might make it too rushed for us. As it was we made it there by 1:10. I couldn’t figure out how to cancel one of them, oops.
We were seated right away and I had my cell phone out because Queen and jasmine should have landed around 1:07. She was to text me when they were leaving on the ME bus and we would know they would be 30 min.

Geodoc ordered the cheese and bacon burger,

The girls ordered the usual

I stepped out of my box and ordered the penne with garlic , shrimp, artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, and olives (yuck).

It was yummy! Queen texted at 1:30 they were on their way. This of course was just as lunch was arriving! Great timing that one has! Mini Montana had to use the facilities at 1:50 so we just headed out to the ME stop because I had strict instructions to take pictures of them coming off the bus. They were the first ones off the bus and then we headed back to the Turf Club.

There was no room for them according to the front desk staff so they went to Artists Palette for snacks and drinks. We hurried to eat our desserts so we could catch up with them. Geodoc had cheesecake, he said it was nice and light

The usual kids sundae.

and I had the BEST apple pie.

We all met up and went to the room.

They absolutely loved the room, and took lots of pictures. Then we all had a rest. I did two loads of laundry and tried to play on the internet. I had trouble with the connection for over an hour! What a waste of time. We were ready for dinner by 5:30, took the boat over and were at Downtown Disney by 6 pm.
Up next dinner at Raglan Road.

OMG....I can't believe Peg posted!!! Good thing I was sitting down, I almost fainted:lmao:

Great update, great pics too,....nice one of me coming off the bus.....;)

Ha ha you're so funny!:rotfl2: I'm hoping I can post with more regularity but it's still busy here. I think I may have taken on too many volunteer jobs as well as my own. I'll try my best. Don't want to let my followers down!

Great update!

That pasta looks really good!

The picture of Queen coming off the bus with the "Yay I am in Disney World face" is cute and you can see just how much Jasmine looks like her :)

So it has become a tradition for us to go to Raglan Road on our first day. We’re usually tired from being up at 3 or 4 am and don’t want to waste a park pass. We enjoy the food here so we headed out for DD at 5:30. Queen and Jasmine’s luggage hadn’t arrived yet and Jasmine was still in her yoga pants and whining about the heat (she’ll kill me for that one) but she managed to suck it up and we wandered down to the boat dock. We were there by 6 with a couple of stops for pictures and were seated right away. We had an amazing waiter as Queen had mentioned. He had an iron clad memory. He never wrote anything down and there wasn’t one mistake with our orders! We were speechless. We love the food here and tonight was no exception. I had some sort of chicken that was really tasty with a yummy creamy sauce,

All ready for dinner.

Geodoc had fish and chips and he said they were good.

DSC05180.jpg

Snow White had shrimp
DSC05181.jpg

and Mini Montana had bangers.

I don't seem to have a picture of this. I'm shocked because Mini Montana was always wanting to take pictures.

For dessert I had the pavlova

DSC05183.jpg

and Geodoc had the Bailey’s crème brulee cheesecake.

DSC05182.jpg

Mini Montana had ice cream and caramel sauce

DSC05184.jpg

and Snow had cookies and ice cream.

DSC05185.jpg

Everything was so good and we were stuffed to the gills. Everyone else wanted to head back to the resort but I wanted to get some pretzel rods as snack credits that everyone raves about. Snow White stayed with me and we headed to Goofy’s. The place was packed! I think I asked the CM at the counter three or four different questions at different times about how to order the pretzel rods. He was very patient with me. We really enjoyed the process of making them and loved seeing the larger than life oreo cookies you can have dipped and the apples. We had two apples when we were in Disneyland in the spring and didn’t come close to finishing them so no apples for us this trip.
Here are lots of pictures of our creations.

Once we were done we headed home by bus because we were closer to the bus stop but they had to stop at the West Side and at Typhoon Lagoon before getting back to the resort. We finally strolled in at 9:30. It was straight to bed because we had a park day tomorrow! We ate the pretzel rods over the next week. They were really nice to have in the room for a snack.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian friends

We're having all the family over here and I'm cooking. Queen offered to cook but after I stopped laughing long enough to catch my breath I told her I had already bought the turkey. We usually have our turkey Sunday but Jasmine was working this year so she's off today so today it is! Thomas is coming over too, hopefully we don't scare him too much:scared1:

Enjoy turkey day everyone! I guess I'd better get cooking:woohoo:

Hi Princess Caitlin

I really was very excited about being there, still couldn't believe that we were actually staying at SSR. I have a couple of pics from the trip where even Jasmine and I can see how much we look alike, normally we can't, and she is happy with that.:confused3

I try and help because Peg has so much on her plate and this is what I get??? Nice....you could make it up to me by taking me with you to WDW next month?????

I'm not Canadian but Happy Thanksgiving to Queen, Peg & fam!

We're travelling this year to my Aunt's and I'm so excited. I don't have to cook this year! Your updates are great. The food at RR looks so yummy. That's one we haven't tried yet but we may have to add it to the list.

Hope you're enjoying your holiday! :goodvibes

I've been at the cottage for thanksgiving and I come home to two updates by Peg! Yay!

Hope you're having a wonderful turkey dinner. We had our yesterday. Deep fried turkey. You miss out on having the gravy but believe me you don't miss out on the calories!

We're trying out Raglan road next weekend for the first time. Both you and queen make it seem very appetizing.

I wanted to make my own pretzel rods last trip but ran out of time so I used my snack credits to buy some pre-made ones at the Candy Cauldron at Downtown Disney. They were stale. I'm going to make sure I hit Goofy's this time.

If you two ever decide to do a ladies only trip let me know. I'd try to pop down for the weekend at least.

Thanks my friend:hug: Jasmine and I had two turkey dinners this year, one last night at my girlfriends and one tonight at Peg's....great dinners.

You really should try it, I've never been disappointed there.

We had a great dinner and hope you did as well:hug: Deep fried turkey sounds amazing....I've seen them do it on the food network and it does look yummy.

I hope you like Raglan Road...I've loved everything I've ever had there.

I can't have the pretzel rods due to my peanut allergy but boy do they look good.

We would absolutely let you know....Hypermommy would be in to...I'd lay money on it without even asking...how much fun would we have:woohoo::woohoo:

Yeah yeah blah blah, The turkey was really good this time wasn't it? I must say I outdid myself once again!:woohoo: Oh and by the way she did mention it, we're surprising the kids with a trip in November. it happens to be Geodoc's birthday and he was taking the week off and I was able to get the buy 4 get 3 free for BLT and then I got a great deal on the direct flights:woohoo::yay::banana: So we're trying to keep it mum and plan but we're not having too much success yet. We're super excited and thinking of ways we could surprise the kids. Any thoughts?

AKL looks beautiful, lots of amazing details :thumbsup2 When I first started planning I was secretly hoping we could somehow afford staying there (I loved the idea of the savannah view rooms) but decided the extra $ was better spent on other things. I think I would still love it and the girls would too but DH is not into the captive animal thing...he prefers to see animals in their real wild, even though he does admit that Disney does a much better job with the animals' environment than most places.

Wow, I can't believe how much snow you had! We were at the cottage for Thanksgiving and it did snow but didn't stick to the ground very much - definitely not enough to build a snowman! That being said I must admit that the girls and I just got back from buying their winter boots as I have a feeling we'll need them earlier rather than later this year :sad1:

Those RR desserts and the pretzel rods look yummy...its a good thing our dinner is in the oven or I would start substituting with the leftover Thanksgiving desserts :)

Oh and great family pics at Blizzard Beach, looks fun!

Hi to all! Queen wanted me to post and let everyone know her computer is on the fritz. We're hoping it's fixable but she's still in the investigative stages.Stay tuned, I'll keep you posted!

You may be working on it but it's been over 12 hours since you posted and it ain't here. Guess you really are Peg's sister, huh? :rotfl2:

Guess I should just shut up considering how long it's been since I've been on here. I knew it was a LOOOOONGGGGGG time when I saw that Peg had actually posted since I've been on.

I just had a minute to share these pictures of the making a smowman in our backyard this morning after it snowed here! I am not impressed, first we had no summer, it showed up in September! Now it's winter, no, no, no!

Oh the weather's been weird everywhere! Last week we set a record for the # of 90+ days in October. Now this morning we're at a record low. I truly wonder if God's just enjoying spinning the weather wheel of fortune!!

OMG....I can't believe Peg posted!!! Good thing I was sitting down, I almost fainted:lmao:

Great update, great pics too,....nice one of me coming off the bus.....;)

Absolutely the same reaction I had!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Canadian friends

I missed it but happy belated Thanksgiving to y'all!

If you two ever decide to do a ladies only trip let me know. I'd try to pop down for the weekend at least.

Oh wouldn't that be fun!!! I'm inviting myself!!!!!

Okay, time for me to go get in the shower. I should always make sure I read your updates in the evening. Y'all make me late for work!!!!

BTW, Peg, if the kids like Stitch, my youngest does a spot on Stitch imitation. I could get him to do some kind of audio inviting your kids down for a visit. Might be a fun surprise for them. Lemme know if you want me to work on something.

I'M BACK

I had to bite the bullet and get a new computer....I missed my Disboards so much, I was in serious withdrawal. I start 2 weeks holidays next Friday and I couldn't imagine sitting here while Jasmine is in school with no computer.

I promise I will do a huge post on the weekend, I have to download all of our pictures again, but I am not complaining.

I've missed you all terribly!!!!
