Colorado DISers ... where are you ?

sure send me your email addy
foolishmortal, I owe you one! We got our 2009 season passes for $49.99 on Saturday.

Anyone going to the Red Rocks soapbox derby this weekend? We are, wondering how crazy things get and how many people show up!!!! I read there is parking at Bandimere and they will shuttle you over.
Did you make it in? Coworkers who tried to go got stuck in traffic and learned that the lots were full and no one else was getting in when they tried.

Yes, we got in and had a blast. Lots of good laughs. We will definitely do it again next year but have learned some lessons. Definitely get there early, bring chairs, bring food and water (they ran out half way through the event, but stated no outside food allowed), and sit towards the middle of the track.

Here are some pictures:

My coworkers want to know what time you got there. They said C-470 and US 285 were both backed up for miles.

Hey there Coloradans!!!! I am a former Colorado resident and I'm wondering if you guys can help me with a little problem. In the East, people have NO idea what green chile is. BTW, the best green chile I've ever had is from Kermit's. Anyway, I've been dying to make it but cannot locate a recipe anywhere! Can anyone direct me to or share your favorite green chile recipe? TIA!

Kermits has the BEST green chili around!!!! Love that place. I don't have a good recipe but I just wanted to 2nd that Kermits is the best.

I can't help but where is Kermit's? Wonder if they have a web site and if you can email them. Maybe they would be willing to share it with you.

Mom - Kermits is the place where grandpa and grandma use to take us to eat after going to the opera in Central City. It is right outside I-70 and US 6.

OMG Heidi. I was wondering if that was the place. Didn't we stop in one time with Richard? I bet they don't have a webpage then. Waaayyyy too small.

Hmmm, interesting idea...I just did a search and no website for Kermit's. Oh well, if anyone comes across a green chile recipe, let me know!!! I'm dying for some green chile smothered breakfast burritos!

morning all.

DH goes tomorrow for his interview. They are flying him in and out the same day so its going to be a long one for him.

Keep us in your prayers please. I will let you all know as soon as I find out out anything.

Hi Colorado DISers...thanks to binny for pointing me here...

I don't have time to read 95 pages, but I'm looking for some restaurant recommendations. I have a conference in Denver right after Christmas.

I'll be at the Colorado Convention Center. I won't have a car, but I don't mind cabbing it somewhere if it's not too far away.

I'd love to try something that is unique to Colorado, but within a reasonable price range for dinner. If the entree price range isn't above $30-$35, that's what I'm comfortable with.

If you have any recommendations, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

I posted on your other thread, but you don't have to take a cab if you don't want to. Use the lightrail, to me it is a lot easier and cheaper! There are so many restaurants in the area you will be. What hotel are you staying at? What kind of food do you like?

Binny - prayers for your family. I hope your DH's interview goes well. :goodvibes
