Colorado DISers ... where are you ?

I posted on your other thread, but you don't have to take a cab if you don't want to. Use the lightrail, to me it is a lot easier and cheaper! There are so many restaurants in the area you will be. What hotel are you staying at? What kind of food do you like?

Binny - prayers for your family. I hope your DH's interview goes well. :goodvibes

what she said!!

Hi Colorado DISers...thanks to binny for pointing me here...

I don't have time to read 95 pages, but I'm looking for some restaurant recommendations. I have a conference in Denver right after Christmas.

I'll be at the Colorado Convention Center. I won't have a car, but I don't mind cabbing it somewhere if it's not too far away.

I'd love to try something that is unique to Colorado, but within a reasonable price range for dinner. If the entree price range isn't above $30-$35, that's what I'm comfortable with.

If you have any recommendations, I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!
The Buckhorn Exchange is definitely unique to Colorado, but the prices look like they are just out of your preferred range. There are tons of good places to eat, but recommendations may depend on where you are staying and if you'll be looking for lunch close to the Convention Center.

The Buckhorn Exchange definitely looks interesting. My price range was ballpark. I know it's more, but how many times are you going to experience that?

I'm definitely looking at dinner options. Lunches are covered.

Thanks!

The Buckhorn Exchange is literally just steps away from a light rail station and the light rail runs right through the convention center, so you wouldn't need to worry about a cab...unless you aren't staying downtown.

I'm staying at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street from the Convention Center.

Oooh...a nice new hotel and within walking distance to the 16th Street Mall, with lots of restaurants, and the free mall shuttle that can take you to even more restaurants in LoDo. The Rocky Mountain Diner is closer than The Buckhorn Exchange. I am also a fan of Wynkoop Brewing for food and beer, if you happen to be a beer snob like me.

Leave it to Jrsy to find all the cool spots! Never heard of the Buckhorn Exchange. Sounds great!

well DH said he thought it went really well and we should know within a few days! Will keep you updated!

We maybe leaving the state... hubby is looking at a job offer in FL......... not sure, but a move could be in the works!

But first the house would have to sell and the job would have to be lined up, ok, before the house is put on the market we would have to declutter some!

Only time will tell!

Welcome to beautiful Colorado. We are on a mini Colorado vacation hitting Beaver Creek, Vail, Aspen, Leadville and Glenwood Springs. What a beautiful state we live in!

Looks like winter has officially came to Denver. How much snow did you get? Down in Littleton, when I left for work it was barely snowing but when I got to work in Lakewood it was coming down and actually some snow was sticking to the grass.

We have a few flakes fluttering down in Thornton this morning. We only got a trace - enough to coat the rooftops and the grass. It was pretty.
