Club Villain

Anyone attend the first Club Villain of the Fall (i.e., the first one since March). Is the quality the same?

There's an AP discount on this but only for selected dates. Not sure if anyone had posted this already
Passholders can purchase specially priced tickets for just $99 (includes tax and gratuity) for the first 8 Club Villain events that take place on September 2, September 3, September 9 and September 10, 2016.

I REALLY wish that they would extend this into Nov! Hard to make FP+ reservations, which I need to do tomorrow. That trip will be 4 nights, and since we want to enjoy F&W we're likely going to skip one park: either DHS or AK. Hard to decide without knowing about Club Villain (and now with RnRC down!!), versus AK that currently shows closure at 6pm... wondering how firm that is...??

I'm really thinking about doing CV on the 9th or 10th since CMs are being offered the $99 rate as well, but I work until 7:30pm both of those nights and I'm not sure if an hour is enough time to change clothes and get there.

I could switch shifts, but closing Fri/Sat nights tends to have really great sales... The struggle is real. :faint:

(Edited to add: I booked it for the 9th with the assumption that someone at work will trade shifts with me... If not I guess I'm just going to run over there!)

Aw man. I was really hoping for a TiW discount. We'll be upgrading to aps once we get there, and I was debating about TiW. Saving $60 would've made it a slam dunk decision, but we're not going until late September.

It's a GREAT show - I'm sure you will enjoy it even if you are running there! I can't remember where in ticketing you work - but I'm sure that while it won't be a relaxing hour that you can find a way to make it to the park entrance by 8:15!

I work at all the parks, but I'll be coming from Epcot that night, so it's not terribly far.

If I don't have time to change clothes completely, I'll just throw on a t-shirt in my car and wear my black pants from work, they just look like ill-fitting slacks. :rotfl:

I am dying to hear Club Villain news! Is it as good as it was? Presumably the actors are different... I hope the main singer is as good as last time.

I'm wondering why we haven't heard about an AP extension if they were going to do it, as half of the offered discounted days have passed. Wishful thinking on my part, I know!

We have been waiting for a TIW or AP discount for our October date but I am not holding my breath. I made the reservation when October dates opened and I budget the full price tickets, but it will be nice to pay less than expected for a change.

TiW doesn't get discounts on special events like this, CP, Fantasmic etc. They have told folks in past when there is AP discount offer you can get a previously booked night, just have it adjusted on arrival.

Not usually - but there is a TiW offer for CV for four September dates (two of them remaining now - 9/9 and 9/10).

WHAT?!? I didn't see an email (off digging) and am shocked ... and worried. To give a discount on something against normal protocol ... does this mean it's not selling?

Honestly I've seen zero advertising for it - seems to be a Disney flaw these days - and only talked among those following it.

This is what Pete talked about on a recent podcast... that you're going to see a lot more perks given to AP/TiW/DVC people. He talked about the whys of it, but I'm having trouble remembering the finer points.

I thought the dates at the beginning of the year sold out relatively fast. I am kind of surprised that none of the fall shows have sold out so far.

Me too given this time of year is so heavy with adult guests. I think they need to up their advertising.

Bring them on! TIW is not cheap and the occasional one night special events are tough for those of us out of town.
