I am always afraid my antenna topper will be taken so I bought one of the topper springs to place my antenna toppers on. I have the topper spring in my bathroom and change out mickey's according to the season. That way I have a little bit of Disney each morning as I dress for the day.

There is truly a lot of enabling going on in this thread!!!! Today, I went and bought a cupcake pink hipster!!!(on sale!) Since everyone on here seems to like them, I thought that I would try one out!!!! What is everyone's favorite style? I can't believe how many styles there are!
I also saw a portable battery charger for my phone at Costco the other day...I guess I will probably go back and get that too, of course it's only $8! This a dangerous thread! but fun!

You asked about my Vera saddle up. I love it!! It is absolutely my favorite bag I've ever owned!

Measurements:
It's 14 inches across
10 inches tall
What other measurements do you want?

It has one inside zipper pocket and those slide in pockets on the inside. It closes with a magnetic clasp and has 2 deep pockets underneath the flap. The best thing is that you can reach the pockets under the flap easily without picking up the flap.

There is nothing that will spoil you like your first stay in a 1br....Just be warned!
I'm sad that they are ending F&G so early this year, last year we were able to see it twice.
That is exactly what I'm afraid of ! That's why I haven't tried one yet! I will someday, but then DS probably won't want to stay in a studio anymore! I probably won't either!

Yes! I do have the Eticket app for my Iphone and I love it!

You wouldn't have to have the clown outside your room, there is always a Boardwalk view or parking lot view....
Personally I wouldn't want the parking lot view.
I had one of those once. We were on the lobby level ond over looked the front entrance! We could see everyone arriving! Not the best view we've had. We usually request upper level and get it, that time we weren't so lucky! I like the clown pool views. Ours was on the other side from where you were. You guys had a great villa and view!

I noticed you'll be at the World within a matter of weeks, so I thought I'd mention that I bought one of these at the gift ship in the Contemporary when I was there last month. It came with the suction cup springy do-dad (official name for them!) and a topper that was Mickey flying with his hands out in front and a cape blowing behind him (think classic Superman flying pose). I'm at work so I don't have a picture with me...but it's super cute. I think it was 4.95... which isn't that much more than just the spring plus shipping on Laughing Place Store. I, too, plan to swap out Mickey heads for the various seasons/occasions so I can always get a fix of Disney...and so I can annoy my boss, who thinks Disney World is cheesy.

For park travels, I am very partial to the mini-hipster. I really don't like carrying much, so the small size is perfect. The long over-the-shoulder design is a must for me...no telling where I'd set my purse down if it wasn't it wasn't strapped to me! Granted, I don't have kids, so I'm not carrying more than a point-and-shoot camera, phone, a handful of cards (debit, KTTW, license, etc) and some trading pins. If it's a super hot day, my husband usually carries a backpack for waters, ponchos (rain and heat go hand in hand at Disney, don't they?), hand towels for mopping off, etc. But as far as grab-and-go bags go, the mini-hipster is tops. Of course, I could never carry it at home because my whole wouldn't fit in it. Oh well! Another reason life at Disney World is better than reality...so much simpler!

Oooh! I can't wait to see all the topiaries up close! I am so excited to see the Flower and Garden Festival! It looks gorgeous! And I love the Boardwalk Villa! That is awesome! What a great view! And I want that teacup lamp!

The F&G festival will not disappoint, be ready to take lots of pictures! Isn't that a great lamp?

It's actually fairly civilized! I had major anxiety the first year, as if I might have to fight some nasty lady the size of Hagrid for the last small cosmetic bag in Mesa Red (my retired luggage pattern). Alas, there was no fighting, or even verbal snarkiness...much to my relief! Just lots of people holding pink garbage bags filled with Vera. Lots of ladies buy huge quantities to, I assume, sell on eBay. The perimeters of the arena are littered with ladies taking inventory trying to decide what else they need for the eBay inventory. It's quite the spectacle!

I'll be sure to take some pictures this year to share with all.

I could so see myself with a garbage bag full of Veras! Can't wait for a full report from the sale!

Isn't that funny... I think we all tell ourselves that!


The WEEKENDER is a great bag. I loved it for my carry-on the cruise. It will be my carry-all for most trips these days! I love it!

I have one of the duffels and it gets way too heavy! The weekender might be what I need!

The Vera sale is the best... it is like a rush to see all that stuff there, at bargain prices. Someday we will sneak you in Anita... I have been a couple of time and love love love it!

I thought you had been to it before Laura, I would love to sneak off and go with you sometime!

I got one last week and took it on an overnight trip. It worked out great! They are 40% off in the stores also

This weekend I might have to check out the stores around here and see what's left in the weekenders.

Okay so I have been severely MIA, I blame it on the move LOL!!! I hope all is treating you and Shocker and family well!!! So now that I'm all caught up I have to say that I just love the look of the Boardwalk rooms...WOW what a great change, might be enough to convince me I could handle there even with the clown pool!!!!

Regarding the app for Eticket and the update...go to the app store icon on your phone and in the bottom right corner it will say updates....click on that and if there are any available updates it will do it then. You know me and my iPhone...it is always by my side
Yes, the weekender is a great bag
And also yes, the Chi is an amazing flat iron...I can see why you had to stop to get one : Yes they are pricey but worth it...my hair stays put the entire day and it is so easy to use.

I've already bought a charm bracelet (thank u Tracy) and goodness knows how many other things I've seen "advertised" here that I've decided I "must" have (a mickey bar antenna topper for my antenna-less car comes to mind!). Wonder if you could start charging an advertising fee? That would probably buy at least a few grey goose slushies each trip...

Oh yes Christine you must check out the Chi! I think the cheapest store is Target....they aren't cheap but IMO they are worth it....it's hard to explain because you would think a flat iron is just a flat iron but nooooooo!

The theme from the F&G festival were really neat! (I hate to use that word) I didn't know that they changes the themes? I'm still amazed at what Disney can do with plants! AMAZING!

I wasn't excited to stay at Boardwalk, so I was pleasantly surprised by how in love I fell with the resort!

So far I'm a fan of the hipster for the parks, I have a couple mini hipsters that are going on the next trip, especially for the cruise. I love the villager for an everyday purse. Thinking the mailbag might be another everyday purse...
If I'm with a group like at Christmas then I like my frill backpack, it was awesome!

As crowded as the parks are probably going to be on the 4th maybe a pool day would be the way to go! Although rope drop might not be a bad way to start the day.

Disney has there version of Pandora called Chamilla(I think that's how you spell it) I have 2 Mickey charms! I got one at WOD and one on the cruise.

I always end up with a heavy backpack in the park! Of course most of it is my stuff! Sometimes DH carries a backpack with jackets and stuff for him and DS! I try not to carry much, but the backpack is still heavy.

Hey, we did fine going to Epcot, actually, for the 4th of July -- we were there early, then left and went back to the resort, then back to Epcot for dinner and fireworks. It was fine. Crowded, but not terrible... Besides, if you time it right you can see the DHS fireworks AND then the Epcot Illuminations "plus" show... was amazing!!!!!!

THEN go to MK on the 5th... it won't disappoint! It was empty!

Pandora does not sell Disney charms however, there is a company called Komelia that sells Disney charms that fit the Pandora bracelets

We did MK rope drop on July 4th the summer before Brooklynn turned 2. It was a typical rope drop. We did all of Fantasyland and opened Toon Town to see some characters before heading out for lunch, pool and nap at the hotel!

As for your packages.. they are the very best!

And for Vera outlet sale, we will get there. We used to go on the VIP day (my mom's family lives nearby and had some ins). Now it is a bit different but still so much fun. At one point my mom was thinking about going this year....

I've been debating about the hipster and mini hipster. I know I'd like the mini for the parks, but this trip will probably be carrying around a water bottle and ponchos so I might want the bigger bag. What's a girl to do??? I think I know what Wigd would say! (get both!)
