I know there is a thread for swapping Disney fabric but I thought I would check on here too for some fabric that I am looking for. It is green Mickey swirl head fabric. I have a bunch of Disney fabric to swap for it. I just need
1-2 yards to finish an outfit for one of my daughters. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yay on the Cricut! I have bought some extra mat, and cartridges from http://www.customcrops.com . A lot of their cartridges are $29.99 and their mat are also on sale now (has been for a while, I think).

I have also read that you can use baby wipes to wipe to mat to get it sticky again? I have not tried it though...I guess I haven't used my Cricut enough, but I will be this weekend to cut out the title for my dd's kindergarten science project for the science fair!
oooh science fair ... ryan just conned me into letting him do it, so now i need to come up with an appropriate project for a kindergartener so if anyone has any easy ideas id love to hear them. thanks

Honest opinion - should I shorten the top by an inch or two? It seems too long and out of proportion to me.

Sorry for cutting of dd's head, but we have been having this discussion about internet safety with her so.........

Emily

I really like it. I don't think it's too long. Could you kind of fold up the bottom so we get an idea what it looks like shorter? No problem about cutting of your dd's head (boy, that just doesn't sound right typing that!) Just please, no swirly faces! They scare me! :scared1:

I keep meaning to add it to the bookmarks and the first post, but I keep forgetting! I'll go do that right now! So, if anyone else needs it we can direct them to the first post. :thumbsup2

I love the Minnie outfit with the A-line and the skirt. I think it is perfect just the way it is. Your little girls will get so many compliments on their outfits.

Teresa-I am looking for an IT job. DH pretty much already has his job lined up. He will be transferring with the same company that he is with now.

Cindee-I love that picture of Morgan. That cape is so pretty and that picture is too sweet.

Photo hosting site- I really like Webshots.
You can copy properties there either BUT thats no biggie- once you have the photo open that you want to post look to the right and click on "link to it"
then select what size you want the photo to be and then copy and paste from the last choice- "post to a forum"
no need to do the IMG brackets either.
I find webshots lets you post a lot of photos even with the free version. I have been using it for years. I have tried Flickr and Shutterfly, but years ago I had an issue with Shutterfly not uploading my photos properly and I switched to Webshots and love it.

Hi all I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find the pattern for the apron top that is in the disphotobucket. Any help would be great thank you.

I would leave the length as is - it looks good as is AND she will certainly grow in the next three months ;)

Some of you may recall I used my newly purchased Cricut to re-do my daughter's room in Hannah Montana. I bought some of the room decals from Target and realized the free cartridge that came with my Cricut matched perfectly!

Here is a picture of the purchased decals:

I'm having a blast!!!! Thanks Karebear!!!!

OH BOY!!! 2 cricut posts!! GREAT ROOM DECOR GIRLIE!!! Keep up[ the good work!

OH, NO, NO, NO,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I almost missed this one, I told Crystal last night that I was upset I did not know about "the move":lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I have not done any sewing as I am waiting for material that i ordered and some that I am getting in the mail, but ...

I GOT MY CRICUT!!

I do not have any cartridges other than the one that came with the machine, but my son used it for a school project

this is what he made...
2008_01070007.jpg

came out cute and he had no trouble with the machine!!! the only thing is that the mat that came with it is no longer sticky, so I have to order some ,

KAREN: where can I purchase cartridges at a decent price?
I see now how can this became another addiction for me!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

BTW : I've gotten pm's about the booties I made , I purchased a felt pattern on etsy but I had to change it to make them fabric, I was telling Crystal that I needed to check and make sure that it was ok, to post a free tutorial about the fabric ones, (Idid change the original shoe pattern ...I do not know if that can be considered original??)

I also have a lot of pm's that I need to check , so If I have not answered some , I am not ignoring anyone:hug: , I am a little lazy when it comes to my emails:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 and I am going thru a little depressing state that is not good for my budget,,,,,

CRYSTAL : BE THE VOICE OF REASON!!!! PLEASE TELL ME AGAIN THAT I DO NOT NEED THAT HANDBAG!!!!!!

Linette-

Your son did a great job with his project! Isn't this just about the FUNNEST THING you've ever used?!?!!?

I would say that I have ordered 90% of my cartridges from www.customcrops.com They did have a problem at the beginning of December, sending things out and completing orders- and there were a couple of reasons for that, but I would still recommend them. Prior to December, I had ordered from them, oh- I'd say at least 5 times, and they were always very quick to ship and the things I ordered were the things that came. Really- that's the only place (other then Micheals- once) that I have purchased my cartridges from and I will definetly order from them again.
29.99 is a SCREAMIN' DEAL for cartridges- and if you can get the mats for 50% off, then do it.... even if you plan on using the resticky method for mats. Custom Crops has had the best deals I've found- and in general have been really reliable for me.

Easy but gross.

Put a peach in a jar and put the lid on the jar. Then, you take a picture of the peach each day. It's been a few years but I believe the points of the project were something to do with the effects of oxygen (or lack of) on the peach. And how long it took to turn into whatever it turned into. Gross, I know but the teacher loved it because it was different. I know there's stuff on the internet about it.

That's a sweet picture! We need those for inside today. This morning it was -21 with a windchill of -40. The heat has been going almost nonstop all day (can't wait to see the bill next month). I don't ever remember it being this cold here in Illinois.

I like the outfit as it is. It is way cute. Have you tried watermarks for the faces? I've no idea how to do it. I like it when people use things like hearts or silly faces. But the swirly faces scare me to!:scared1:

This is adorable Emily!! How long did it take you to do the skirts? Were they the ones from YCMT? I love the look and the length looks fine to me. You at least have some growing room til April. I would wait until then before you make any changes. :thumbsup2 You may feel differently by then. Are you working on any other outfits? I can't wait to see what you've got cooking:woohoo:

I saw that. That is a great price!!!!!! I am glad you are planning a trip. :cheer2:

The leggings are Gymboree, I bought them a few years ago and she finally grew into them. I want to make Leggings-just have not found a pattern for skinny minny.

So, what pattern would you say is an absolute must have. A staple in your collection. I have a 6yr old daughter and am about to start on her outfits for our Nov/Dec trip.
