Linnette, I think the real question here is, what will happen if you keep it?

Linnette.....Just say NO!! But it is stinkin cute and if you kept it I would so understand. I think we all have our secret addictions. (I can't stop adopting:yay: )
That's not a bad addiction. That is one of pure love. That bag will find a home without Linnette providing it one.

So, what pattern would you say is an absolute must have. A staple in your collection. I have a 6yr old daughter and am about to start on her outfits for our Nov/Dec trip.

Farbenmix Vida is very versatile, easy to mix prints, can be a jumper or sundress. The front and back panel are great for applique- if you get ambitious:)

Hi all I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find the pattern for the apron top that is in the disphotobucket. Any help would be great thank you.

Melissa, do you mean the Minnie dot apron top? Or the kid's apron that's pictured with the chef's hat?

btw, it's nice to "see" you back. Hang in there!

This is adorable Emily!! How long did it take you to do the skirts? Were they the ones from YCMT? I love the look and the length looks fine to me. You at least have some growing room til April. I would wait until then before you make any changes. You may feel differently by then. Are you working on any other outfits? I can't wait to see what you've got cooking

Thanks everyone for thier input on the length, I will leave it for now.

The skirt took me about 6 hours, but that includes cutting out two, doing the shorts of two and then completing one skirt fully. I still have to do the outer part of the second skirt.

Then I have two more outfits to complete. One with the green Tinkerbell fabric (with the purple flowers) and a purple top. The other is with an Ariel fabric from Wal-Mart that has a light/dark teal background with a darker teal top. I don't know what to put on the these two tops though, so I probably won't start them right away.

Are you a beginner or an experienced seamstress? Or somewhere in between?

Cindee, I sent you a pm about leggings for skinny minnies!

CarlaC's Peasant top and dress pattern gets alot of use in my house as does her Simply Sweet dress pattern and her Easy Fit Pants pattern. All of these are on YouCanMakeThis.com.

Adopting?

That is one of my favorite subjects!

I could go on forever about it but I think I would need my own board:rotfl:
Out of my 9, I have two biological. I am just finalizing my last two and it looks like we may have one more coming. I gave up telling people I was done, I don't think they believed me anyways.

You are amazing!

Jeanne!
I absolutely love that set! I think it is my most favorite of all the sets you have done.

staple pattern---ummm I'd have to say CarlaC's Easy Fit Pants pattern!

You can make pj bottoms, capris, shorts, get crazy and add a ruffle to the hem, or rick rack, or applique, they whip up nicely in so many different fabrics, I have tried cottons and denims with great success, I love the A-line and easy fit pants pattern for outfits. The A-line is soooooo easy and makes up into a swing top or lengthen to make a dress, use a different fabric inside to make it reversible, or just line with muslin- I love the different closure options, I have tried everything- snaps, buttons, ribbons.
CarlaC's patterns are so versatile AND they offer a wider range of sizes than anything you will find from the traditional pattern companies.
I also love that I can just print out the pages for the size I want.

So- there's my sales pitch!

But then my husband would find out how much time I am really on here and I would be in big trouble. He just thinks that the laundry is piling up because the kids were crazy today.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Besides, if we had our own reality show I might have to get out of my jammies:lmao:

oooh science fair ... ryan just conned me into letting him do it, so now i need to come up with an appropriate project for a kindergartener so if anyone has any easy ideas id love to hear them. thanks

I once took 3 plants and watered one with milk, one with oj and one with water to see what the different liquids would do. Sounds like something a K could do. Either take pictures or just report on it. I think it took a couple weeks to notice a difference.

Finished the first outfit for our trip in April:

Honest opinion - should I shorten the top by an inch or two? It seems too long and out of proportion to me.

Sorry for cutting of dd's head, but we have been having this discussion about internet safety with her so.........

Emily

This is really cute! I would leave it as is!

Don't tell Arminda, but Jacob has "friends that are girls" who he has been hanging out with a lot. I think there is one special girl but he has been spending time with her and her best friend. He asked me to make purses for them because they loved the one I made for his teacher. I made them wristlets:

I think I need to make one for myself! They are so easy and cute.

I think I gotta try this! Looks easy but is super cute!

Can I have that email too? I would love to make dd some leggins but she is tiny.

Alright, I have pics of the coat. I love the way it came out.

This is really cute. I hope you pass on that email....I didn't even know they had leggings for skinny minnies. Your daughter is adorable.

So we went to Disneyland again :yay: :yay: This is beginning to feel like a monthly event but it is getting me going on making the girls' outfits and we are now "disboard spotting". The girls are busy looking for outfits that they have seen on the board. It is so funny. I have some things to share and then I also have a couple of questions.

First....this is so a complete case from photobucket. I forgot who actually created the first one but the idea stuck with me and here is my rendition.

Now here are my teen girls who have just now asked to be included in the next round of outfits.

In a Big Give, someone created a super cute :cutie: outfit for Miranda with a sweet Snow White applique and ribbon tshirt. Does anyone remember who that was and where I might find that applique? I would absolutely love to recreate the look for my girls but I don't know where to start. :confused3

Thanks for letting me share!!! ~Barbara Jean
