Really, they changed it?! I need to go check if anything available for my dates. Thanks!

EDIT: No luck for my dates, oh well. :(

Keep checking, you never know. When they released AP discount, only Courtyard or bunk bed Woods view was avail :( but I kept checking, and Standard view became available. I've seen this happen before with discounts. After they've been out, sometimes more room classifications become available. Don't know why :confused3 Maybe they weren't filling up as fast as they hoped?

Yes, I will be checking in while I'm there. Taking my computer as I hate posting from my phone. First stop will be one night at POP ......
Yep, posting from the phone is diabolical. Looking forward to reading your TR!

WDWKOOK-

We're back, and I have some pictures for you! Do you want me to email them to you so they can be "framed" like your other pics or just post them?
Welcome back and we can't wait to hear about your split stay. It would be best if you could post your photos here so that everyone can enjoy them:goodvibes. Looking forward to seeing them!

You're correct, when resort capacity isn't as high as they'd like, they will move some of those "rack rate" rooms into pin code and general public inventory. Also, if someone cancels a room that they booked with a pin or AP, etc... sometimes those rooms will also revert back into the inventory, but sometimes they will not and they're gone forever. This happens with the SOG overflow rates. If canceled, they will not return to SOG's overflow inventory.

I am reading that the Villas at Wilderness Lodge are getting WIFI installed. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks for the advise!:goodvibes

At this point, I have already talked up the CY view so much to dbf that if we didn't get it he would probably be disappointed now. But I will keep on checking cause he would like the extra $$ more. ;)

Got my Magical Express booklet and luggage tag yesterday.....seems real now. Yellow tag with Wilderness Lodge getting me excited!!

My trip is Nov. 13 - 19. Have not received trip documents yet. Is this normal to get ME booklet separate from trip doc?? I booked thru Disney

We'll be there in just a few days. I can't wait! We have woods view bunk bed rooms booked. I really hope we can get north wing with a partial MK view!

We just returned from an AMAZING trip to the WL!! The staff is unreal. We own DVC and our home resort is the BWV. While we love the BW and we feel the location is terrific, I have been disappointed in the staff for the past few trips. They just seemed pretentious and not welcoming. Honestly, the WL was a 180 degrees opposite. We arrived and were greeted at our car, they called us by name, welcomed us home even though we were at the lodge not the villas, had a room ready right away at 10:30am etc etc etc. It was just fabulous! Haven't stayed at the WL in 7 yrs and can't wait to go back :)

Someone please pinch me! Hubby and I will be checking in for our first stay at WL in 6 days!!!

We are staying at WL Nov 8-13

We have used the WDW bus system in the past with mixed experiences

Wondering if any one can tell me how it was driving to parks/Downtown Disney in your own car

If you are a resort guest, do you have to pay to park at each place - or is it free?

Is the hassle factor of parking less than that of waiting around for a bus and its various stops?

We plan to take bus or boat to MK - given the location of the parking for MK -- but we are thinking about driving our own car to AK/Epcot etc

Thanks for any advice

I would definitely drive to DTD! The bus situation to and from there is a mess. It's very easy to drive there but sometimes you have to drive around a bit to find a parking space.

I don't mind using the buses everywhere else but my husband hates waiting for the buses so when we have our car, we drive everywhere but MK.

I have heard WL has switched the coffee makers. Are they the Kuerig sp? type with the cups? And is it still Nescafe coffee?

Wow! I got the Standard view AP rate just in time. I had been watching the Passholder site, and a few days after they released AP discounts, the standard view at WL came up, and now it's gone  So happy I grabbed it when it came up!!

As a fellow BWV owner, I totally agree!!! That is why we just bought 150 pts. at VWL!!!:banana:

I can't confirm this, but hopefully someone else might have more information about it.

What trip docs. do you mean? You can print your confirmation in "My Disney Vacation."

If that isn't what you are assigned, just ask if that location is available. I hope you have a great vacation!

Real life is no fun, but it won't be much longer until you're at the Lodge:)

I can confirm FREE WIFI at Wilderness Lodge! I don't know if its only at the villas or the hotel side as well.
