Add us please! Dec 13th to 22nd super excited! Would it be dumb if we dun eat at whispering canyon and artist point? I ll have to find a way to fit it if it's a must. I always feel dumb not eating in my own hotel but going to california grill and narcossee instead.

We didn't eat at either...Artist's Point is 2 meals if you have a dining plan....and I didn't really like the menu at Whispering Canyon but I hear a lot of people do. We did do room service which was great and ate at Roaring Fork.

- Well, a little... I (literally) just accepted a new job! That means moving from my current one, (I really mean it when I say that I hate my job!) to one that I am SOO excited about!!! I told them about my pre-booked vacation, and that I understood it wouldn't be compensated for, and they said that typically they like 6 months employment before you can use your PTO time, but they will let me use my accrrued time to that point for it!!! So this is really shaping up to be a BIG vacation for us, DH is selling the business he owns, and starts his new job in a few weeks, which is why we booked our trip to begin with (DH has NEVER had a vacation, he works alone and for himself)... and now I'm getting into the position I wanted also!!! Sorry...I'm just soo excited I had to share...

We will be at WL 11/29-12/6 for the first time! So excited to see the Christmas decorations. I'm hoping that a RO discount will come out. Does anyone know if a RO is hard to get at WL the first week of December?

Which is typically the faster/less crowded way back to WL from MK after Wishes... The boat or bus... Or are they probably both the same. We have always taken the boat back but this will be our 1st trip during a hot and crowded time so wondering if the bus might actually be easier.

In my experience, the boats are busier but can be quicker. The buses are quieter and if you time it right you can be back in the lodge in a flash but we have been stuck on buses for ages on more than one occasion.

Plus, boat is prettier, even at night

The boat is closer to the exit than the bus is, so it is always very tempting to take the boat. You can often see the boat whereas you can't see the bus and don't know how long it will take until the next one comes along.

What are the chances of getting a bunk bed room with a club level room?

I know that there are some bunk bed room on club level but I don't know how likely it is that you would get one.

We have only eaten at WCC once in three trips and that was for breakfast. But we've eaten at the Territory Lounge a few times, so that is good enough for us.

We stayed at the WL last Nov 30th to Dec 5th. We had a bounce back discount, but there was a general public room discount during that time, too, beginning on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The WL was very full that week because it is a popular place to stay in December.

How long does it take to get from WL to Epcot?

The bus takes about 25 minutes because it stops at Fort Wilderness before heading on to Epcot. The return trip is only about 15 minutes because WL is the first stop.

The decorations were beautiful. It was fun seeing all the people who had dressed up in their nice clothes, posing for pictures in front of the big Christmas tree, on the bridge in the lobby, and the cute setting near the elevators. It was a very busy lobby. The GF and the AKL had similar types of Christmas trees - very large with extra large ornaments.

DH & I are booked at WL Aug 31-Sep6 2014, when we go, if we get a BB, how many rooms can you book on a BB and do the rooms have to be at the same resort? We are planning a trip in 2015 with family, my Mom is booked already at WL & my sis now wants to go, but my Sis would need a discount in order to stay at WL with the rest of the family. Also in Aug/Sept 2014 will 2015 BB dates be available?

Every adult staying in that room can book a BB. So if it is just you and your spouse, then you can each book a bounce back. You do not have to stay at the same resort. You can stay at any of the resorts that are included in the BB. At that time of year - August-Sept, the bounce back offer is usually free dining for the next year.

We are checking in next week and I wondered if they had something other than Nescafé, also curious if the club level thread reflects the menus from Monday through Friday, was an example of the menus or is that always what they serve? For example, do they serve venison meatballs every Thursday night or is that subject to change? Trying to get an idea if our family who are late eaters will do okay eating dinner occasionally in the lounge there.

Hello all,
It has been a while since I have visited the boards. I just booked a trip for this fall and will be staying in a deluxe studio. We booked using the free dining promo. POR was excluded this time, so I was scrambling to find something that would permit a family of 5. I just began clicking on each hotel and seeing what was available and lo and behold, I see a new category at the WLV! The Deluxe Studio now holds 5 people! This is funny, because the 1br still only sleeps 4...but I'm not complaining, I'm excited! I have never ventured over to the villas, so I'd love to hear any recommendations on room requests or any tips in general.
If the mod would like to add us to the who's traveling when portion of this thread, that would be great! We are Alison (39) Chris (40) Noah (18) Jackson (13) and Ellie (9) staying 11/13-11/19. Hope to see some of you fine folks there!

We are checking in next week and I wondered if they had something other than Nescafé, also curious if the club level thread reflects the menus from Monday through Friday, was an example of the menus or is that always what they serve? For example, do they serve venison meatballs every Thursday night or is that subject to change? Trying to get an idea if our family who are late eaters will do okay eating dinner occasionally in the lounge there.

Coffee in the rooms was the little pod kind. Don't remember the brand but thought it was pretty good. The lounge had a Nescafé machine. Never had the actual coffee and instead opted for the cappuccino instead. For machine cappuccino I thought it was excellent! One of the many things I am looking forward to having in the lounge in just a few weeks!

For the menus I am sure they are always subject to change but yes I think they pretty much stick to a consistent schedule.

Coffee brand has changed to Joffreys. It's better than the Nescafé.
