This might be a stupid question, but are you "trapped" in whatever land you find yourself in when the parade stops? Looking at the map it seems like you most likely are.

During the parade...

In some places, you can go "around" the parade.

In other places, you may be detained in that spot until most of the parade has passed through
(about 12-15 minutes.)

Beginning June 1st, there will be no parade in AK.

1:14am CST: No FP+ available for FoTLK (FP+ link listed on Disney website on FoTLK page). Hopefully with the 24hrs event over, Harambe Nights (June 7th 1st night) soon approaching with all premium seats for each night sold out & Disney stating FoTLK reopening in June we will here something soon.

Still hearing June 1 or 2 but most likely the ladder. Haven't heard anything about FP+, but if I were to guess, I'd say that they'd wait a bit before opening that up. I'd say expect FP+ for this to be available starting June 7 an onwards, which is why I'm calling its start on June 2 previews.

I was wondering about the need for FP+ too since we'll be there the first week of June, potentially when it re-opens. I would guess the theater can accommodate more people now, though. The talent in this show blows me away-- I want my cousin to see it so badly!

I'm in the same boat - we'll be at WDW the first and second week of June so I'm worried there will be a stampede to see it. Also, my daughter is not a thrill ride girl, and my husband has to avoid rides with high g's because of recent eye surgery, so we won't be doing Everest, Dinosaur or Kali. So it would be a good choice for us to get a FP+ for FOTK if it's open during our visit.

Just checked MDE five minutes ago and FOTK is not showing as a FP+ choice.
