Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

i know there is probably a simple answer to my question. I'm new to this board but very glad that I found it. :)

When I call in for a reservation, would I say party of 3 or party of 4 (I have 2 adults and 2 children, ages 4 and 30 months). I won't be paying for the child under 3 but he will probably have to have his own chair. Do I therefore say party of 3 or party of 4?

Thanks so much in advance.

You have to say the number of your whole party and then later they will ask ages.

Hello! I live on a rural ranch in Texas and dialup/phone can be issues at times...thanks to all the wonderful "suggestions" I found here on these posts,I have been able to get ALL the reservations I wanted (including Cindy'd Breakfast!)the past couple of mornings...not sure I would have managed without this help! WE are taking our grandaughter for her birthday in Oct and it will NOW be even better thanks to the kindness and sharing here! I appreciate it! RJ

Would someone remind me if the dining reservation line is open on Sat. and Sun.? I'll be trying to make a reservation for my dd's 7th birthday (Oct. 15th). According to the PS calculator, I should be calling this Sat.

Unfortunately it's the last day of our trip so I will be bumming if we miss out. I'll be able to do the next morning before we leave if we need to, so that would mean calling on Sun. if they're open.

Two years ago I tried to get Cindy's for her birthday and couldn't. Her big sis got it for her birthday, so at least we got to go.

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining to try for the second time this week for CRT and it was sold out again! The CM said when they opened at 7 there were 200 calls waiting. So my question to all you vets out there, how do you get in so fast? I'll be calling again in the morning to hopefully get a PS for our last Disney day.

Wow, I'm so so sorry! That is usually how it is though so I'm thinking maybe when I called for the end of August that must really be a less busy time because I did get through right away and then I even called back maybe a day later and tried for an earlier time and got one.

October is a very popular, busy time of year now maybe that's part of it.

You can try calling now and later for cancellations. Once last year I didn't get lucky but called back about 1/2 hour later and was lucky to get a cancellation. Many people get 2 PS and cancel one within the first hour.

All I can say is I watch an official clock and got threw right at 7:00:00a and knew what #'s I had to push and I was in and someone answered within a minute.

Good luck getting a cancellation!

You have to be fast and pratice. start at least 5 minutes before and I usually start at 5:57(IN time) and just keep redialing once you get the open recording you can't wait for the recording to finish talking you have to hit 1 then 2 then 1 then 2 otherwise evryone who knows the drill is through. If you have a Travel Agent call him or her and ask them.

As someone else said you need to practice. I got in and got reservations for 3 of the 4 mornings that I tried and will cancel the two we don't need. I practiced the afternoon before so I made sure that I knew the numbers that I needed to push and when I needed to push them. The morning that I didn't get in I started to push the 1, 2, etc. number combination to fast. Another reason that I would suggest that you practice is that I read many different number combination that are to be pushed after the phone is answered by Disney and all of the ones I had read were invalid. In the previous post someone suggested entering 1,2,1,2 which is no longer valid but I am sure it was when they got reservations. Currently to get in you need to enter the following 1, 2, phone number with area code followed by #, 2. The last question asks if you have made a trip to Disney since a certain date. Even if you have I would enter 2 (which means you haven't) because that will save and extra step which requires you to enter the number of times that you have visited in the past several years. This was the drill last week but it may have changed so make sure you check it out before hand.

Just a friendly reminder to try and call in afternoon/evening too.

I called 1st time at 8pm central time and got PS for Sept 3rd @9:45am! :)

Some might think it's not a so good time, but for me not getting any PS last year for CRT, this is a heavenly time! ;)

Also, there is no wait, you push through your numbers and...there they are, live and happy to help you!

Good luck you all getting in to CRT!!!!:wave2:

I got it!! I got it!! I am about ready to cry. CRT 10/13 at 9:25-this is our last full day.

Mike Bartenhagen-Thank you so much for the tip to press 2 after the phone number. I got thru right away!!

I don't know who's going to be more excited-me or DD. Thanks to all for you advice and encouragement!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

:Pinkbounc Thanks for all the advice! I got it!

Dialling from the UK is sooo difficult - doesn't like our non 10 digit phone number!!! But...on the second day of calling....

I have 08:05 reservations for 13th October - yippee! I can't wait to tell DDprincess: .

Thanks again!

8:05 is an awesome time!! We were there early and I was able to get a pic of DD in front of the Castle with no one else in the pic. We had a wonderful time. You might get a great window seat too :)

Congrats Beverly. If you need to call for any other days you might want to just enter a fake phone number. I just tried it and entered 111-222-3333 and got in with no problem.

Mike

Thanks again. I did end up with a fake number, the 407 code followed by our home number in the UK which is 7 numbers long! Yesterday was a nightmare as I had expected 1-2-1-1 but messed up and panicked at the question asking for my reservation no or phone number!!! I must admit that I practiced last night after that disaster......

One question - do our kids know how difficult this is? My DD3 just thinks I give Cinderella a call!!!princess:

Congratulations to you both!

It is certainly a relief when you get that ressie under your belt.
Enjoy the trip and the breakfast!

After trying all week, I read the tips listed in this thread yesterday.

This morning, My wife, Sister-in-law and I were determined to get through. Well, we did better than that. I got through, and my wife made a ressie for 5 on 10/14 @ 9:00am. Then, my sister-in-law called and said that she made a ressie for 6 on 10/14 at 8:15 am. :Pinkbounc

We are going with a group of 12 (6 females and 6 males) so we will be cancelling the ressie my wife made, and using the one for 6. That way, all the girls will get to go, and the guys can sleep in.:D

I just wanted to say "Thanks" to all the folks who have posted tips recently. They really work.

Butch

I got through this morning also. I really didn't expect there to be anything available because I was on hold for 2-3 minutes. She had an 8:30 but it was gone before she could grab it. I ended up with 9:45 which is fine for me.

I'm REALLY hoping to get tomorrow though for dd's birthday. If I don't get it, at least I have this one to fall back on.
