Sadly I didnt get through today. I am from the UK and called just before 12noon our time, and was on hold for 31 minutes before being told that all the PS's are gone.

I will try again tomorrow. And the next day. And the next. And so on for a fortnight until I get it.

Wish me luck - we are only looking for 2 (my and DD)!!!

Well, now I know why they changed the numbers to push and now make you plug in your phone number!!

I just called to check on a later time for a PS and while we were talking the CM says, "I see you are coming again in October." The only way he'd know that is by having my phone number. We had just started talking and I hadn't given him any info yet except the day I wanted to check on the PS time.

I just got through for Oct. 15 (dd's b-day), so I cancelled for the 14th for 4 people at 9:35. Hope someone here can snatch that one up.

I've got my PS!!! Today was third time lucky!!

8.05am on Saturday October 16th!!!


Another bit of advice I picked up - when I've tried previously I was pressing 1, 2, then my 10 digit phone number, then £, then 1 again (which obviously takes loads of valuable seconds).


Today I just pressed 1, 1 (as if Im booking in the next 7 days - which obviously I'm not) AND IT WORKED!!

I didnt have to listen to any music at all. As soon as I pressed the digits a CM answered.

So give it a go - and dont give up - I was in a state yesterday thinking I'd never get through - today Im on cloud nine!!

I got through today, but they had a table for 4 and we are a party of 5. Close, but not good enough. I wonder how hard it will be to get that table of 5. I booked the PSB breakfast just in case, but not real excited about that.


I'll try the tip about pressing the option to skip an option, I guess seconds will count here.

Out of the four days that I tried I got reservation on two seperate days for tables of 11 and on one day for a table of 5 and 6 so it possible to get odd number. We also have 5 people in our immediate family and are very familiar with how difficult it is sometimes to get a table for 5. It seems as though everytime we go out to eat there are many table of 4 that get seated easily but you have to wait for a table of 5.

I was just wondering if there is a day of the week that is easier to get PS for CRT. Today I was making PS for Oct. 16th which is a Sat. I would imagine that is probably hard. I am feeling optimistic about tomorrow. I know I can hit the numbers faster tomorrow!!!!

I haven't read anywhere that it was easier to get a reservation on a certain day but I have read that it is easier to get through when calling in on a weekday or holiday and the thought was that people were less willing to get up early on these days to call in.

Check your PM. We are trying for Oct. 18,19,20,21, or 22. We have My DD, DS, (5 and 4) my 3 nieces (6,11,13) and DW, nanny, and sisinlaw so we'd need at least 8 but up to 12 in outr total group. We're trying, the next 4 days to get PS but could you all keep us in mind if no one needs their res.?.

YEAH!!! It worked, we have PS for Oct. 17th at 9:00 a.m. My husband and I were trying at the same time, he was using my business line. It was a little odd, he got the "welcome.." and prompts when I was still getting the closed message. He then hit 1, then 2 and it never asked for our phone # or any other prompts. He thought he did something wrong and was surprised he got a real person. Good thing he didn't hang up!

Anyways, thanks for all the tips. Start dialing early and hit that redial!!

We were fortunate enough to get 2 ressies (calling on different lines) for 9/30 for 5 people. We are cancelling our 8:30 am PS today if anyone is interested, you might get it by calling this afternoon. Hope this helps someone.

If you were looking at the first few posts in this thread, you were looking at posts from two years ago. The only way to stay up-to-date is to click on the link for "last page" or whatever it is called.

I made the same mistake the first time I looked at this thread.

OK, just to make sure I have things clear

When you dial 407-WDW-DINE (939-3463) this happens-

"Welcome to Walt Disney World. We are glad you called."

If you are making a PS for Victoria & Alberts - Press 2
If not - Press 1

If you in the Orlando area or are making a PS for within the next 7 days - Press 1
If you are making a PS for your upcoming trip - Press 2

Enter your reservation or 10-digit telephone number

If you have visited the WDW resort before - Press 1
If not - Press 2

If you have visited the WDW resort more than 4 times and you have visited since 1998 - Press 1
If not - Press 2

So even though I will be calling 90 days out I can press 1 (for not V & A) and then press 1 again (as if I am making a PS for within the next 7 days) and get an operator faster?

We got it!!! We have CRT ressies for Oct 18.

Yes- skip all the dialing and dial 1 and then 1 (as if you were coming in 7 days. It gets you the same folks without all the dialing.

This is very good advice. I would suggest no matter what you read as to the numbers you have to push to get in you practice the day before and write down the steps that you took to get in. You can just hang up when the CM answers. The helped me to get in three days out of four. The only day I didn't get in I tried to push in numbers before I should have and by the time I got it right it was to late and it was only a matter of an extra 15 seconds.
