Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

Be careful not to hit #1 too many times before the first recording ends. I did this one morning and it kicked me over to somewhere else. I can't remember what it said now as it was back in March, but I had to hang up and start all over again :( I still was able to get a ps though even with having to call back.

Yeah!!!:Pinkbounc

I was able to get through and get the PS even with a couple of hitches...I was on hold this time but only for about 5 seconds. I told her the date, number of guests and anytime. She said is that Sunday? I got confused and said no, Monday (but it was Sunday) but I quickly corrected myself. She then found me 9:00a!

I'm not too happy with the time since it's an EE day...I'd prefer 8:00a or the latest seating but I'm still very happy I got it. This is my sister and niece's first (and probably only) WDW trip and I want it to be extra magical!

I'm tempted to try for Tuesday or Thurs of our trip but don't think I'd want to wait that long for such a magical event. This will start off our trip extra magically!

Thanks for all the tips/advice I found here!::yes::

Congrats!!

Also to note. When I was doing a PS this morning, I paid particular attention to hitting the numbers and at what time.

The queue opened, I heard "the high call volume" message and hit 1-2-1-2. Nothing, the message continued.

I then waited for the silence and hit the 1-2-1-2. It still did nothing.

When I heard the woman's voice starting again, that's when I tried it again, and it went through that time.

If someone else will try this on their next PS, maybe we can confirm this behavior.

I think that is the case and that is what I did. I waited through that silence and the second I heard her talk again I hit my numbers (1, 2, 1, 1) and got through.

I'll be calling all this week and will confirm that nothing happens during that silence!

Congrats! I know this will make the trip extra special for your sister and niece!

Uh oh, Now I'm confused. One of you (cmonroe) is saying hit 1-2-1-2 & beatty family is saying 1-2-1-1. What is the difference? I am using this info to make a ressie for CRT (will be calling the end of June for a late Sept date) & I want to make sure I do it right!! Please clarify!!

A couple of days before my PS for CRT, I went through the process so that I'd be prepared. I hit those numbers based on the questions asked. For me it was #1-2-1-1 BUT I'm pretty sure it will not matter what you hit (except for the first #1)...it's really just survey questions.

Why don't you call before your CRT call and see what the questions are to ease your fears.

Oh ok, great!! I will call 1st. I hate to "use" a phone line just as a test & ruin someone elses chances to get their ps but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!!!!
Congrats on getting your ps. I'm hoping I will not have a prob since the end of Sept is not as busy!

You don't have to call at a busy time! you can call any time! You will still get the survey questions!!

Thanks for the congrats! I was very surprised as I've tried before with no luck!:teeth:

1211=is if you have been to disney more then 4 times
1212 is less times

press one if you are making a PS for anything other the VA

If calling from orlando area and wasnt to make PS in the next 7 days press 1 if calling to make dining plans for your up comming trip press 2

if you have visted thw WDW resort before press one if not press 2

if you have have visted more then 4 times with one visit before 1998 press one if less press 2

therefore in my caseits 1212

LOL

Thanks for that.
I guess I'm skewing WDW's results as I've been over 20 times.

Oh well... The most important part is the PS......

I guess I'll start hitting 1-2-1-1

Thanks for the info.

Funny thing happened to me this morning.

When I was calling for my 1900 Park Fare breakfast, the CM, "Fulton" answered my call. Because of CRT, for each PS, I am actually in that same mode. I call 6:59/7am.

So he picks up the call and I say "I'd like to know what you have available for party of 6 on so and so date for 1900 park fare breakfast."

Before answering, he snickers, and says "You've done Cinderella's round table before haven't you." I laughed and said yes.

Well I got the breakfast no problem. The point of my story is the following:

1. After he confirmed the ressie, I was expecting a confirmation number. The other 5 i've done this week had numbers starting with 310.......
He says your confirmation number is your phone number. We keep all of your records under your home phone number. I was slightly concerned and puzzled. I politely asked him why I didn't receive an confirmation number similar to those previous. He stated that those are not necessary as all ressies are kept under my phone number.

He then asked me for my home phone (again) and listed off all of the ressies that I had made. Anyone had this happen to them?

2. He said that I only need to worry about calling at 7 am for CRT. He said I could've/should've waited til the end of the week and done the rest of my Ps's at one time. I told him that I am a planning and control freak, and that method is not possible for me. He insisted that I could have done that. I humored him and said that's a good idea. Which in reality it is, but my personality make-up would not allow me to do it that way. I was just wondering everyone's feelings on that?

One more PS to go and I'm done..... Thanks for your input.

For each of my ps, I still have a confirmation number.

It was nice though today to have the CM go through all my ps which I did by using my phone number. I did this last time when we went too. They were all there but one and they had my phone number in wrong. I have the ps# with me because people spell our name wrong all the time when they hear it over the phone.

Bump---

Thanks EEyorelover22.

Anyone else have an experience like this?

Disney had changed the rules on us since the last time we went and booked breakfast at CRT--switching from 60 days out to 90 and, of course, this trip was planned between 60 and 90 days out. :(

So I've been calling each day hoping for a cancellation since about mid-April for our June 16th-23rd trip.

I snagged a cancellation for the Princess Storybook Breakfast fairly early on. :D

But today, the reservationist made my day! I got Cindy's for 8:55 on our second-to-last day! (PSB is the last day....) :hyper:

Also, I remember somebody saying that cancellations don't go back into the system until the following day--after the various concierges have their crack at them. I specifically asked yesterday if cancelled reservations go back into circulation immediately or the next morning. (If the latter, it would be advantageous to call first thing in the morning even for cancellations.) They told me that they become available immediately.....

We got cindy's for 8/23!! first try tuesday morning!! Thanks for all your advice:wave: . we received 8:10 for 9 people.

I got up early this morning to book CRT for 6 of us and got it. We always go at the end of Aug and never had a problem getting it first try. Ours is at 8:30 a.m. on the 25th of August.

Now I have to decide if we should do the Fantasmic package.

I got a confirmation # this morning cmonroe, it started with 310. They never said a thing about my phone #.
