I feel pretty lucky about the PS thing. (not to rub it in, but to show that it is possible) I called for the first time (after learning that I had to do this) on Easter Sunday. I dialed at 6:57...was told to wait on hold by the recorded voice...got an answer at 7:02 and booked CRT (Thursday) and Storybook Princesses (Friday) without delay. My only issue was the fact that I didn't know I had to do this, so my PS ressie was for day 7 of the trip. I really wanted something to "kick-off" the vacation for my 5 year old Princess so I called back later that afternoon to ask about PS at Cinderella's Gala Feast dinner at the GF. Get this...the ONLY day available for the entire duration of my trip was on my arrival day...HOW PERFECT!!! Even the CRO had to marvel that it worked out so perfectly........must be the magic :)

I think we are all set on Princesses. Hmmmmm...do I need an extra suitcase to pack all of the Princess "gear" (costumes)?

Hi, I did exactly as described in the thread to get Cindy's breakfast, and I had great results. I'm just backward from the Nomad Family...we have Cindy's breakfast at the Castle our first morning and the Gala Dinner at the GF our last night. I can't wait to leave (May 17th!!!). Sandie

I got lucky with my ressie, I had my cell phone with number in it and the regular phone called at 6:59 and was put right thru!!! Does anyone know how far in advanced you can make the storybook princess breakfast ressie???

You will have a great breakfast my daughter loved it....:Pinkbounc

Congratulations! You can make a PS for Princess Storybook 120 days in advance.

We tried on our cell and regular phone back in March at the 60 day mark for CRT, but didn't end up getting through either day we would be there. This is our 3rd trip to Disney since Sept 2001 and we haven't been able to get res for any of our trips. :( We did make res for Princess Storybook breakfast this time tho. Don't plan on spending any time at Epcot except for the breakfast, so will be taking the monorail right back to MK when we're done. Hoping someone will cancel and I'll call at the right time since we still have a little more time (we're going May 14-17).

After missing out on Cindy's reservations for the first 4 days of our 6 day trip, I was so happy to get through. As many posters have advised, I interrupted the CM and asked for Cindy's and she yelled at me for interrupting her. I was so sure that I was doomed -- but after yelling at me, she proceeded to take my reservation and we got the table. It was worth it!

I got through yesterday (Sunday) morning at 6:57 and 30 seconds. It was our 60 day mark for June 26th which I thought would be impossible since it's June and an EE day. Much to my surprise I got a party of 8 in at 8:05!!!! My best advice is to start dialing early!!! You never know when they're going to click the phone lines on :)

Thanks to all of the advice on this subject I began trying this morning at 6:58 am, got put on hold at 6:59, and at 7:04 got an 8:25 PS for Cindy's on June 29th! I am so excited!:Pinkbounc

Thanks to the tips and advice from these boards I was able to get PS for Cindy's breakfast my first time trying. I dialed the 407-939-3463 number. I pressed 1 when I heard "thank you for calling wdw dining. I was immediately connected to a CM. I did start calling at 6:59 AM.

So to all who gave the wonderful advice and tips Thank You.

We did Cindy's at 8:15 on Saturday morning, and let me tell you -- it is so worth every effort you have to make! We loved it! The castel is beautiful inside, and the food was great, too. The cream cheese stuffed french toast with blueberries and those potatoes were our favorites. DD met Mary Poppins, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Belle and was just thrilled!

Thanks for all the tips and everything. Also, as a binus, we finished just in time to be first at the rope at the castle when they dropped it at 9 am. DD and my mom were the first to ride on Dumbo, and by 10 am we had done that, Small World, Peter Pan, Snow White and met Ariel.

It was just the perfect trip!

So, having browsed this thread I find myself in a bit of a dilemma:( I've promised my DD a Princess breakfast for her birthday (Oct 31st). She really wants to see Sleeping Beauty but I figure a Princess breakfast in Epcot is better than no Princesses at all ?

So -

I book a PS for Storybook breakfast in Epcot 120 days out (is that right??) for her birthday ?
I start trying for CRT 60 days out from the day after we arrive (her birthday is at the end of our trip)
I keep trying until I succeed, if I get a PS for a day before her birthday I then wait until 60 days before her birthday then I can cancel the earlier date &/or Epcot if I do manage to get through ? If I don't get through again we've still got a PS for an earlier day.

Is that being greedy ? She so wants breakfast with Aurora on her birthday
:)

We've done both breakfasts and Princess Aurora was at both locations. I'd make the SBP PS at the 120 day point and keep it for her birthday. Then try for the CRT and, if you get that earlier in your week, do that as well. My DD enjoyed doing two princess breakfasts and actually liked the Epcot one better than CRT. Our rationale for doing both is that DD is only this age once, and it's such a short amount of time that they are enthralled with the princesses.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

I need to cancel two PSs for Cinderella (each for a party of 8). One is for 9:15am on July 2, and the other is for 10:15am on July 3. If you're interested in either one, reply to this post with your email or send me a PM to coordinate cancellations.

I don't know if this will help anyone, but I just got off the phone with the NICEST CM I have ever had! :D We were talking about all of my PSs... and when I mentioned CRT (that I just got this morning) she said those are really hard to get... then she went on to explain...

There are 200 CM's at opening time... most have their screens directly on CRT (since who else would be calling at that time!!!)... she said the best way to get it is to say your party NUMBER first (i.e. 4 or 6 at the table)... then Cinderellas, then time... for instance...

Phones open, she hears, "Party of 4" (she clicks on party table), then she hears time and snags it! She says that works the best, that with only two hours of seatings, and 200 phone calls at once... the CM's who get to the party size screen first/then time are the ones to secure the PS.

Hope that helps someone!

Good Luck!

Karen

Thanks for the info Zakatak!Someone will have to let us know if it works for them! I have 10 more days before I start calling!

Sorry to be a bit 'dumb' but what are you all talking about? What is a CRT and a PS? I gather one is a breakfast with Cinderella in the castle? And being in Australia I gather we have zero chance of securing a seating if we wanted one?

Thank you for helping me out, I've never been to WDW so I have a lot to take in. :)

Caroline

No question is dumb!! Welcome to the boards.

CRT is Cinderellas Royal Table, a meal in the Castle at Magic Kingdom. It is the breakfast that everyone wants as that is guaranteed to have Cinderella and other Princesses (they vary, but can include Snow White, Belle, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Mary Poppins, Mulan and Prince Charming). Lunch and Dinner have no characters (although Cinders SOMETIMES appears in the lobby).

Because of its popularity, you have to call at precisely 60 days before your chosen date to secure a PS (Priority Seating....Disney Speak for Reservation!). You have to start calling approx 2 mins before 7.am Eastern Standard Time.

Calling from abroad DOES NOT affect your chances in anyway. I am from the UK and have made three successful PSs. You just have to get your timing right......lucky for us in England 7am EST is 12 noon here! I have no idea what time you would have to call from Australia.

Hope that answers some of your questions.

Allie.

Are you staying concierge at a deluxe hotel? If so, don't bother calling for PS, just drop a line (email works great) to your concierge and they will take care of it. No muss, no fuss. No waiting on a long distance phone call.

DW and I went to AKL and YC last oct - stayed concierge - and asked our concierge about getting a CRT ressie. After reading what so many people go through on the DIS to get a table I was concerned I couldn't get a CRT breakfast set up for my DW. The concierge just asked what day and what time and took care of it.

Thats part of the concierge magic. You'll find that sort of special treatment goes all thru WDW.
