Christmas Trip to see an old Friend

I went to Disney's site, and it keeps showing a message stating they are unable to retrieve my dining reservation. How did you check yours? Is anyone else having this problem?

If I lost my ADR's I am going to be extremely ticked off.

I had to call to verify with the dining people. I lost my Sci-Fi Cafe and Grand Floridian Cafe reservations. All the others were still there.

Because nothing is ever simple in life I am sure I could get them back as I saved the confirmation numbers, but I don't feel like fighting it. If HDDR or CRT was lost THEN I would be mad. Those are pre-paid!

I think it is a good call canceling the car. You are right that you will be able to get everywhere quickly.

OK after reading your ADR troubles I think I will be calling tomorrow to confirm mine. I can only pull up 2 on the Disney site....

So you actually lost some then? I haven't called to cancel mine yet, but I assumed all would still be there as everyone who has called still has had them found.
I need to get on it and cancel them, especially CRT, but it makes it so much more real that we aren't going then.

Yeah we actually did lose them. I even tried it on my own and plugged the confirmation numbers in there. I am so bummed. But I got a few others instead, so we will see.

Yeah I don't blame you for not wanting to cancel CRT. It definitely makes it real to have to cancel everything! At least you didn't buy the plane tickets yet, and there is always next year! At least Skip will be getting the help he needs.

We had to cancel a trip to London at the last minute once. I was so looking forward to going and seeing my family, but it just didn't happen. So I think I am forgoing my 2011 trip to Disney and going to London in 2012 for the Olympics provided I can get tickets to the gymnastics competitions and opening ceremonies!

I just bought a flight to LA. I have always wanted to be on vacation ON my birthday. So I was browsing JetBlue dot com and found a round trip flight for $250! So i snatched it up! So I will be spending my 29th birthday at Disneyland! My sister lives out there so I will stay with her and do my own thing for a few days and visit all my favorite spots! So excited!

But Disney is next up in December and I think I am 44 days away!

It is February 9th. I say it's the worst day of the year, right between the Superbowl and Valentines Day. No one ever remembers or is available to go out. So i am doing my own thing!

I got ya beat. Mine is ON Valentines day. I'm lucky to get a b-day gift, let alone a Vday gift. And the restaurants are always crowded on my birthday!~

Claire's is Dec 10, but so far she has done well for her b-day. My Dads is Dec 26th and my sister is Dec 27.

Thanks! I had a really bad virus. I had a follow up yesterday and all is good to go! Can't even tell I was down for the count two weeks ago!

We leave three weeks from Saturday so I best not be relapsing! My co-worker is now ill and I am terrified to go near her!

So My trip is less than three weeks away! Of course I am sick AGAIN! I cannot catch a break! I blame A) My co-workers who all had colds last week (I told them sharing isn't always caring) and B) The little children that come to the pool with runny noses for swimming lessons (Parents I don't want to lecture but if your kid is sick with a cold please keep them out of the pool, the teachers whose immune systems are lacking due to being in water for hours at a time catch everything)! I am not allowed to send them away. Fortunately this is only a head cold so I expect to be better soon.

We received our Magical Express tickets in the mail a couple weeks ago, so those are tucked away in my travel pile. Having to explain the ME to Jenna was a process. She didn't understand the whole they take our luggage for us concept. Then last week we got our "Mickey Mail" I put it in quotes because it came from Southwest Vacations, so it wasn't true Mickey Mail. But it was our travel vouchers for the hotel, dining plan, park tickets etc.

My friend also got her status at Disney changed, so on the days she goes to the parks with us I will use her free tickets, this way I can save my tickets for a future trip (I got the buy 4 get 3 free deal so once I use the tickets I am going to upgrade to a non-expiring ticket as I only need 5 days). I am so smart sometimes.

But this is about it for my PTR. I like to think it was a half way decent first attempt. I will make another pathetic attempt at a TR in three weeks when we get home!

No We are not going to Boma anymore I had to find time to go to DTD because my mom needs me to pick up some stuff, so I switched our AKL day with our Epcot day. I changed most of our breakfast ADRs to places near the Boardwalk to try and make the most of our days. I wish I had more time. I will be checking out Boma on a future trip for sure!

Well I just did the Online Check in. I have never done it before so I figured I would give it a try and see what happens. I will try calling a few days before to request a room near transportation and/or an elevator. This is my first big trip since my knee surgery last year, so I am a little worried about how my knee is going to act after walking around all day. It still gets stiff when the weather changes , and I have not walked on it for more than 3 hours at a time so this will be a good test!

I cannot believe I only have 10 days to go! I remember booking this trip in August thinking it was so far away. Of course almost none of my plans are the same lol. I am the most indecisive person on the planet so I am not shocked. Our new plans are as follows:

Head over to Epcot International Showcase, which is nice because that is where the entrance from BWI is! (don't really care if we get to the rides, Jenna isn't a ride person and if I miss them it won't be the end of my world). We may grab fast passes for Test Track, but that's it. I would also like to do Captain EO.
2 pm Lunch at Chef De France
THen hang around the WS until we have to head back to BWI to catch the Magical Express to take us back Home

Well my life has been quite hectic since I started this PTR. So I thought I would add some color in (because words are so boring at times) and show you all what I have been up to......Plus I am trying to kill time until Disney. (Please bear with me I don't know how to make them smaller)

Back in August my best friend from High School got married. She and I (and four others) went to Disney for three days then did the four day Disney cruise after graduation in 2000...yes it has been ten years. We have our HS reunion the night before I leave! So here is the Bride and groom (he also went to HS with us, but they didnt date til after college) and me

Up Next was my wrist surgery. So while I was on the mend my friends and I went to NYC to visit Donnie Wahlberg on the set of his tv show and MAY have ordered pizza to the corner....they will deliver ANYTHING ANYWHERE in NYC.

Then we had my sisters best friend/college roommates wedding. My sister got invited with a guest, and decided to bring me as her date seeing as I knew most of her friends, she felt like she didn't have to entertain me if I went. Two words for this wedding OPEN BAR. Here is me and my friend Lindsay one of the bridesmaids.

The following month was my sororities annual ball. My friend Jill who is still in school there invited me as her guest because her husband is off in Iraq doing stuff for the Marines. SO again because I knew lots of people who were gonna be there and I am SO MUCH FUN she brought me along. Here I am with my "Grand Little" Marissa.

And because he is my baby here is my dog Nixon at his Halloween party. PS Named him after Trot Nixon the baseball player NOT the President.

FINALLY because this is a Disney PTR here are some photos from my trip to visit Brianne last year. I went down with my friend Steph and we can get pretty goofy. I would like to say some of these photos are for show....but unfortunately with us it is the norm.

So there you have it. The last four months in a nut shell!
