Christmas Parade Taping FAQ : Crowds / Dates / Etc

We are planning on going to MK on Sunday Dec 2. Should all the parade taping be done by then??

It 'should' be done by then but that day is for anything they couldn't get to on Fri or Sat.

For example, one year (2003) there was a blizzard in NE so it delayed Regis and Kelly's arrival so the parade float taping was that Sunday instead of Saturday.

But for the most part most of the taping is Fri and Sat.

When did you request your wristband? How long did it take for them to respond? How do you get your wristband? I e-mailed Lightship early last week with no response. This is my first year trying to view the filming of the parade.

I just e-mailed them about 4 days ago, saying that I would like to attend and telling them we're a party of 3. They e-mailed me back yesterday with the confirmation voucher. As for the celebs on the castle stage I got in a res. with the AP site.

I e-mailed Lightship as well and haven't heard anything back. We won't be there on the 30th, so we were hoping to be in the audience for the 1st -- but if the pp is correct and Lightship is giving out vouchers for the 30th -- than who is doing things on the 1st?

Hi all, I know this has been asked BUT does anyone know who will be at WDW for the castle and parade. We were there last year for the parade taping in the AP section and had a blast. My kiddos are dying to know who we definitely be there that weekend. So and clues would be gerat!!

Well they must have read this thread because I just got the e-mail with our vouchers!! I requested Dec 1 in my initial e-mail so that's what they signed us up for.

I have friends in california and they were told miley was taping at disneyland this weekend not sure about her dad though. there are two times for parade taping? last year they had the parade at 8 am and had one final castle taping at noonish. they have to finish before 3ish because they run the christmas parade in the afteroon for the park guests instead of the dreams parade because they have all the floats out and characters in their outfits already. i am surprised jlo is performing since she is pregnant unless she doesn't have alot to do. just sit on a float and sing. when ellen taped at universal Jlo was one of the guests and my son got to see her perform. he really enjoyed it.
