Disney has their business model. The tiered days are here to stay. Disneyland has ticket deals for So Cal residents and for the 70th and Costco tickets. Those are the "discounted" tickets. Day guests get plenty of ticket deals. Disneyland makes the most profit from the hotels.I'm not talking about AP's
I'm saying if you lowered the ticket prices for day tickets you would draw in more people who are willing to spend money
Also people come during Spring break, Halloween and Christmas every year and crowds get pretty insane...guests can be upset but most will deal with it
We benefit from less crowds, but if I ran the park and was trying to make the most money, I'd want as many people as I can get to buy food, merch and LL passes thats where the the real money is its getting people in the door so they spend in the park. These new Keys they are selling are 60 bucks and they keep selling out, that is like a gold mine for them along with stuff like Sodas which cost them almost nothing and they sell for 5+ bucks
Anyway not trying to start a fight on here, just my two cents is its great for guests and confusing business wise to me because if they hated low crowds then man they must hate Christmas time when everyone is there buying treats, lol
From a business perspective, you want less guests spending more than more guests spending less. Less guests spending more means more profits, less wear and tear and likely less staffing/cast members needed.
I just stayed for 9 nights at GCH as an out-of-towner and just the amount is more than what a handful of lower tier passholders spend in a year even with the special events, OOB nights and all the special popcorn buckets! LOL.
FYI: It costs more to go to Disneyland than WDW...if you get a hotel/ticket package...WDW you can get a length of stay ticket for aas long as you stay. Not at DL. they limit the packages to 5 day PH...I had to get 2 5 day PH.
