Welcome to the Disney Adventure Planning Thread.

As the first cruises are sailing at the end of the year and since there are a few DISboards members booked on cruises, I thought it made sense to have one thread where we can exchange planning tips and experiences. As both the destination and the ship will be quite different from the North American based ships a one stop thread for everything Disney Adventure might make sense.

Please, feel free to ask any questions, share any news about the ship and report on your experience once the ship has her maiden voyage!

This is a work in progress. I am planning on adding more content as time goes on. If you have any topic that you think should be covered here in the first post, let me know!

We are sailing May 21-28 (B2B). We have our flight to Singapore booked, our hotel booked for before a s after the cruise and a couple of activities. I found a nighttime Starry Cruise to see the lights for one evening which looks fun. We are very excited…. and trying to prepare ourselves that it will be unlike any Disney cruise we have ever done. Hahaha

We are looking to book when new itineraries finally drop for the fall. We will do Hong Kong (including Disneyland) and Singapore with the cruise.

I think there are quite a few people doing B2B, it will be great for experiencing more dining venues! It looks like I could spend half the time on the ship eating myself through the various restaurants. :rotfl2:

Starry Curies for the lights sounds great. We are definitely spending quite some time in Singapore and I am excited about that part of our trip as well. I think most people from this board will be spending some time in the city as well.

One thing I found out (because someone else mentioned it), is that the Adventure appears on the Los Angeles port schedule of cruise calls in November on 11/06/2025 and 11/07/2025:

So, this means in November at the latest we will most likely get media and influencers and travel agents on the ship to post videos and pictures.

The big question for me is: How will the Adventure get from Northern Germany to LA? Across the Atlantic and then? Does she fit through the Panama Canal? Will she have to go all around South America? Would they send her via the Suez Canal or around Africa and then all the way past Singapore across the Pacific? This sounds like the unlikely option... Especially since there are issues with pirates (and not the party type) on the Suez Canal route. If she crosses the Atlantic, will they not stop at some place on the East Coast of the USA as well?

We live in Orlando and would love for her to make a quick stop at Port Canaveral! 😃

We are first doing Tokyo Disneyland, then the Adventure and then the Adventures By Disney China tour which will go to Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai. It will be a crazy busy vacation but well worth it. ❤️

Yay!! I have a tentative PTR HERE

I live in Japan and am going solo 😊
I was thinking of adding links to trip reports to one of the first posts, Do you want me to add your PTR there?

ETA: Just saw your post on the other thread! Will do!

Very excited to join this thread, thanks to @Flossbolna for setting it up. We are one of the earlier sailings (early Jan) but hoping to find somebody here who is on a December sailing… we actually live near LA (just got off a ship at the port in Long Beach today!) and I’m wondering if there’s any possible way to get on that one day sailing in November…

I’m also curious how it will get here, I was going to say it can’t possibly be Panamax, but then I remembered they made it easier for bigger ships to get through a few years back. I’m even more curious if they will sail it empty from LA to Asia…I’ve always wanted to do a Pacific crossing, but it would mean pulling the kids from school for weeks.

Like others, we are planning to tack on Disney parks to our adventure trip— just booked a late December vacation package at TDR, and toying with the idea of stopping at HKDL as well. I have previously visited all the Disney parks in Asia, happy to answer any questions for people if I can. Haven’t been to TDR since 2023, but visited HKDL and SDL last fall.

Great to see more people joining! I set it up yesterday and was anxiously waiting for the first reply, but then realized it was a holiday in the US (I am in Germany - far away from Wismar and Papenburg though, so never visited any DCL ship being built).

I think unless you already are on DCLs media list by now the chances are very very slim. Maybe they sell them to selected CMs, too. It’s a big ship!

DCL has never sold any of the transitioning cruises before the inaugurals, so I don’t think they will start with the Adventure unfortunately. But maybe she will get relocated once the 5 year deal in Singapore is over.

Should I add people‘s cruise dates to the first post so that we see who is going when?

That would be fun!

hi all, what cabins did you end up choosing? has anyone booked the inside concierge cabin?

The reason i'm asking is i think this cabin is a great value as compared to a 1 bedroom concierge cabin in other DCL ships. And there are only a few of these in the entire ship..

I didn't book a Concierge cabin but I did book an inside deluxe: 9975. Im a bit nervous at where its located now that details on the deck plans are added but im sticking with it

We have a Concierge cabin booked for January. Very excited about this trip! Booked the longest flight in the world - NYC to Singapore for fun (I actually like long flights) and then 2 days in Singapore followed by the cruise, then Hong Kong Disney and Shanghai Disney. This will be a dream vacation to celebrate my retirement! Can't wait to hear trip reports. Hate media and influencers talking about almost anything, but I might watch them if they are invited in LA when the Adventure stops just to get a flavor of the inside of the ship.

Great thread thank you! We are also booked for July with two Ocean verandah rooms, looked into concierge but the price was double the amount of the two verandahs so we didn't go ahead.

We are coming from Australia and will be spending a weekend in Singapore, we looove Singapore soo much to do and see.

hi all, for experienced cruisers. Since the Deck Plans do not show anything on DECK 20. What do u think is on this deck? Is it off limits? or can we walk around on the top deck and enjoy the breeze?

Also, i didn't see the ADULT ONLY area on the other decks. Perhaps its located on top deck? Where one could smoke? What do u think?
