(Christmas) Lights, Decorations, Action…..A Post-Christmas PTR (update 12/22-page 42)

We have ANOTHER youngster in our mist who does not know old games (like old movies).

At 37, being called a youngster is fabulous so thank you! :lovestruc

Boy, I bet you'll wish you hadn't said that when you get back from google!!! :lmao:

So now I know what Post Office is! :scared1:

I am caught up on your PTR so here are my thoughts on a few things. . .

We loved WL when we stayed there and it is supposed to be even more beautiful at Christmas! Actually, we've liked every place we have stayed so far - I guess our tastes aren't very discriminating. :rotfl:

We popped into WDW for two days in May at the end of another trip and at at the Camp May Cafe dinner buffet for the first time. DH loved it! If you love seafood and buffets, you can't go wrong! We are planning a January trip and he said put it on the list for dinner again! Le Cellier is also great and we are planning to go there in January too - I checked and the dinners are all booked but I can get a lunch which works for us.

Have you even eaten at SciFi? If you want an alternative to 50'sPTC, this would be a good one. This was my 7 year old DD's only request for the January trip.

I am thinking about trying Yak & Yeti this trip too - we have never eaten there. I can't tell on All Ears if the lunch and dinner menus are the same or different. Does anyone know?

BTW, the post office is historically closed on the weekends, so don't be trying to figure out how to get your parent's to keep Parker the next few days! :rotfl2:

hey marv she never did come back after she went to google your post office game.

:rotfl:

I'm gonna have to give Cape May another try I guess. We went there this year and I didnt care for it - but it had been a long afternoon trying to get our dryer to work, and trying to convince somebody that a dvd player that has a remote that doesn't run it isn't actually a "working" dvd player :sad2: So after fighting those battles we went down in search of food and stopped at the front desk to meet the manager who helped solve our issues. She offered to get us seating at Cape May so we wouldn't have to go out. It was just after they normally stop seating so it wasn't very crowded. But I just wasn't in the mood for a big buffet....I was thinking we'd grab a sandwich at the gift shop area - so that may have influenced my opinion.

I am glad you could read my bad typing and understood that Camp May is Cape May! :lmao: I really would give it another try. I've read bad reviews of it but we (especially my DH) really liked it. Sounds like you definitely had a bad day that day!

Know how you feel. I actually got carded at 30. The person asking for my ID couldn't figure out why I started laughing. :)

It's a kid's game......unless you play it like I do!!!

Thanks for the input. We haven't tried SciFi. Typically, if I'm going to do burgers at Disney, we usually hit them CS, but we seldom get them. I've heard a lot of people say that and the onion rings are the best things there.
okay, okay, I give in to begging and whining - here I am, hello Marv!
Yeah, London's in the house!!! :woohoo: :welcome: Oops, sorry......I just got back from my annual eye exam and getting my eyes dilated. I think it's making me cixelsyd! I've learned so much from Glenn. Glad it brought you over here.....

:rotfl:
I'm here! Just too tired to post last night. You guys can't scare me off that easily!
Little does she know, right Dan?
Marv, just stopping by to say :wave2::wave2:

See you later, alligator.
You shouldn't have said that Kathy. You are heading to where the 'gators are!!! :scared1:

Sorry you had such a bad day, and at Disney of all places!!! :sad2:

I've read good ones and bad ones, but we do like seafood, including crab legs so hopefully we will hit a good "time" to be there. The big thing was we wanted to go see the decorations at the Epcot resorts, so if nothing else we'll get that done!

Me too! We went out for our anniversary dinner and I was actually dressed up. The college aged waitress carded me. Then when I showed her my license ( I left my bag in the car ) she still did not believe me and I had to basically request me drink again. Then she proceeded to tell me that she thought I was kidding saying my ID was in the car, and that I look younger than her blah, blah... hey lady, where is my drink. I should of gotten that drink comped I tell ya. I thought it was cute at first but when she basically refused to serve me, not so much. I wish I would get carded now. :cutie:

We ate at Cape May in Sept. We enjoyed it. My DS, the crab leg king, filled up on those babies.

Gooooood Eveniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing, Marvali!!!! Phew!!! Jam is made, dinner out of the way, rain is falling and Hoodwinked plugged in... time for some r and r.

Now, going to look up Post Office. :confused3

DS18 keeps running into the same problem. For the longest time he would get the kid's menu when he was too old for it. People still think he is younger than he is. I told him not to worry about it, there will come a day he will appreciate it. I don't think he believes me. :rotfl:

:welcome: Jen!

Good to have you along! I'm guessing you came over to get more info about my "cooking show!" :thumbsup2 Actually, this trip I think I will just let Disney do the cooking and I'll do the enjoying. If Rosie comes around, I'm sure there will still be some discussion about wooden spoons though! :lmao:

Most definitely! It sounds like lots of fun over here. Still plugging along reading all the rest!

Hey, at my age you can't afford to be picky......:rolleyes1
::yes::

our state has a law now that everyone gets carded no matter the age...we had a 80+ lady out with us a few fridays ago, and she didnt have her id she didnt get served...another lady at the table had to order her a drink and then she slide it to her after she got it.

Double Digit Dance!!!!!  Only 99 more days!!! :woohoo:

It is only as fun as everyone helps make it, so feel free to join in and contribute to the fun anytime! :thumbsup2
Just stopping in to say hello and Happy Anniversary!
Thanks Jen! :) And

I understand the reasoning I guess, but that seems just a wee bit excessive! :sad2: Of course, any excuse not to serve Rosie so she has an excuse to act crazy can't be ALL bad!!! :rotfl2:
