Hi Guys I'm still lurking just a bit busy at the moment. Have a good Thanksgiving over there not something we celebrate. I don't know how you guys cope with two such big festivals so close to one another!!

Hi Daniel,:wave2:

start with the link below,
make sure you click "more activities" at the bottom of the page.

http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/d...vitygroupingindex?id=TeensActivitiesActGrping

besides these, there is a basketball court on the sports deck (up top), a movie theater, stage shows, and swimming. There is more to look at under "Entertainment."

Every day, including the day we arrive, everyone gets their own "navigator." It's a personalized, daily newsletter that lists all the acitivities on and off the ship.

The address below has samples of the navigator newsletter on their website.

Hi Lynn!:wave:

It's a great holiday for those of us who don't cook!;)
(My DH & SIL & BIL are the chefs)
Thanksgiving is the start of the Christmas Season like our Memorial Day is the start of Summer...it's all good!

The time for familys to get together & give thanks & enjoy the LOVE. To watch football. To eat all kinds of good food.
To be happy the pilgrims found this great country.

XMAS

To praise the Lord & give gifts.
What a wonderful world.

Okay I'm sold how do I emigrate :)

I'll tell you a story now, I'm sure the young lady in question won't mind and you might get to meet her on the cruise.
This summer we came back to the States to visit with people we met on the cruise at Christmas. I am a teacher so one of the teenage girls was asking me about school, we talked about holidays and she said
Teen: So you don't break up for summer untill the end of July, but you get a day for the 4th of July right?
Me: No we don't celebrate the 4th of July.
Teen: That sucks Why not?
Me: Well why would we, we lost!!!!

Her family and friends didn't let her forget that in a hurry I can tell you.
:teeth:

At least you get to celebrate Christmas with us!

It'll be so nice when we all finally get together.

I will be giving thanks next week, not only for the blessings of my family but also for my DISer friends-here and abroad-whom I've had the priviledge to know these last few years...and am getting to know better every day.

:flower3:

We are getting there gang!! Under four hundred days now, let's get past this Christmas, and wait for the next! :crazy: :earsgirl: :smooth: :bounce:

Hi gang:wave:

I found an interesting site today. It is called CRUISECLUES.

It lists all of the cruise lines. If you go to Disney Magic - you will find it is a wealth of information about layouts, history of the ship, people that have been on the cruise post their pictures. There are reviews etc, etc, etc.

to get there try http://cruiseclues.com/shipstips/disneymagic.htm

if that doesn't work just type cruiseclues.com. It is a waycool site.

Colleen, your pretrip is a great one, we also go to universal every trip down. I want you to keep that crew of yours out of trouble!! And to all the other Christmas cruisers of 05 have a great Thanksgiving Day!! And to you UK'ers just have a great day!! :crazy: :earsgirl: :smooth: :bounce:

Thank you Franco!

Most of my family enjoys US/IOA so we make a point to do
at least 1 day. This year we bought a pass that offers 5 days
for the price of 2...I couldn't pass that one up now could I?

I enjoy writing and I promised Aisling I'd write one.
My report should be up shortly after we return. I plan
on taking notes during the day and writing them out
each night...I tried writing from memory before and
ran out of steam before I finished the story. We'll see if
this method works better for me.

I want you to keep that crew of yours out of trouble!!

That's the great thing about Disney,
everyone's so busy having fun there shouldn't be any trouble.
I believe only "the bored" get into trouble...;)

And to all the other Christmas cruisers of 05 have a great Thanksgiving Day!! And to you UK'ers just have a great day!!

Happy Thanksgiving back at'cha!
And Lynn, our UKer, Have a Great Weekend!
:wave2:

Happy Thanksgiving to you all too, we've alot to be thankful for over here so maybe we'll have a mini day of our own!!
Have a great trip Colleen and Jill. I'm very envious,.... no Disney for us this year, because we're going twice next year!
I'm getting such withdrawal symptoms that I checked out the Euro Disney reservations for Xmas. They're fully booked I'm pleased because 1. I swore I'd never go again after last time the atmoshere is so unmagical and 2. We really can't afford it...LOL

Hi Lynn! :wave2:

Please don't be envious...;)
this trip has been 2 years in the making.

I've read a little about DLP-that it just doesn't seem the same,
as you have said, "not as magical."

Only 395 more days!

When, may I ask, are you going on your other trip?

Look at my counters
242 days and we'll be in Disneyland celebrating the 50th birthday and doing the West coast cruise. it was completely unplanned and spontaneous on top of the cruise we already had booked but hey you can't take it with you.....Never been to California so we're really looking forward to it, but we normally vacation every 3 or 4 months and the cost of this has us waiting a year so we're beginning to want a holiday sorry vacation.
Vacations every 3 months possibly sounds indulgent to you folk because from what i understand you don't get as much vacation time as us. But 4- 5 weeks is the norm here and with Europe being so close it is not unusual to go abroad a couple of times each year as well as breaks at home.

Plus of course whlie it may not be such good news for you guys the dollar is not doing so well against the pound at present so we are taking advantage of that.

I won't be envious (well only a little) Have a wonderful time and we look forward to your report.
:wave2:

We had those tickets too, and went to universal twice. It was a good deal! :crazy: :earsgirl: :smooth: :bounce:

That wasn't there before! (was it?):p

I've never been to Cali-
we tend to vacation on the east coast.

My kids, DH, my FIL & me go to NC in the summer-
we go with a good friend of ours and her family.
My family staggers where and when we go away...
I've taken them to Williamsburg a few times, to the Jersey Shore, to the Poconos in PA, to The OuterBanks in NC, and Orlando.

It's so nice to be able to have these experiences isn't it?

I think the dilemma here with vacations is trying to fit them into the school holidays

Our kids get a couple days for Thanksgiving, a week or 2 for Christmas, a week for Easter and June/July/August for summer break. Of course every person in our nation tries to go to Orlando during those weeks.

I like going in early December-we get lower crowds, lower prices, and Christmas festivities...but my kids will have to make up 6 days of school when we return.

Plus of course whlie it may not be such good news for you guys the dollar is not doing so well against the pound at present so we are taking advantage of that.

I always say, people should take advantage of every opportunity handed to them.

I frequent the UK trip reports board...
the best part about your trips is that they are so long. I get to read reports that are on average 2 weeks long!

I also enjoy seeing our country from another point of view.
It's the little things that make a difference;)

Thank you my friend...:smooth:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We had those tickets too, and went to universal twice. It was a good deal!
I figure if we get there 2 days, we've got our money's worth,
anything over that is FREE!!!
I checked SOG tickets and it was $95 for only 2 days.
Universal guarantees that they have the best price
and they actually do...the only difference is the tax-
I can live with that.
That wasn't there before! (was it?)
:tongue:
It was there but I don't always notice other peoples signatures either.
I've taken them to Williamsburg a few times
Now Williamsburg that conjures up memories of a holiday that didn't go quite to plan we were supposed to be there this summer, but we were kidnapped by a DIS bord family and never left Ocean City. You'll meet Jim and his family next xmas they are amazing people they took us under their wing and we stayed with them in Ocean City for 2 weeks ( the plan was to move on after 1 week but Jim and his wife along with my hubby cooked up a plan for us to stay longer, so Williamsburg and Charlottesville will have to wait for another visit. LOL
I think the dilemma here with vacations is trying to fit them into the school holidays
I'm a teacher so I know all about the school holiday problem, we get 2 weeks at Xmas and Easter 5 in the Summer and 3 midterm breaks each lasting a week but the travel agents over here bump up prices every school holiday which is very sad.
I like going in early December
Disney at Xmas is magical I waited 40 years to visit hubby wasn't keen but now he's hooked too. We've been twice now both times at Xmas right through the holidays it was busy but with the tips I picked up on these boards we managed fine.
I wouldn't recognise the place without its decorations:hyper:
the best part about your trips is that they are so long.
Our summer california visit will be 3 weeks and xmas 2 weeks I figure once I've paid the air fare I might as well stay!
I'm glad you read the UK boards, I think it's fascinating but they do read different don't they, I know Jim thinks our humour is drier and I think if you're not used to it and take our meaning literally it can be hard to understand so if I ever write anything you're all not sure about it's probably tongue in cheek. I'm a happy friendly kinda gal and an optimist so if my posts read otherwise its just my quicky sense of humour!!!:hyper::
I know it'll be a good time next year....
I'm outta here soon so I'll see you all again on Monday.
Buenos Noches Mi Amigos!:wave2:
Happy Holiday & a good weekend to you all.:grouphug:
Hi gang,
I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving.
Today I went to have a manicure/pedicure and I had the girl put me down for December 23, 2005. She thought I was a nut, making an appointment a year in advance, but I always have to be doing something concerning the cruise!
Colleen and Jill, please say hi to Goofy for me when you see him in a few days! And if you get to those video emails in Mexico, or those cool photo emails in Inoventions, my email disneyaisling@aol.com if you want to send me one LOL!!
