That wasn't there before! (was it?)
I've never been to Cali-
we tend to vacation on the east coast.
My kids, DH, my FIL & me go to NC in the summer-
we go with a good friend of ours and her family.
My family staggers where and when we go away...
I've taken them to Williamsburg a few times, to the Jersey Shore, to the Poconos in PA, to The OuterBanks in NC, and Orlando.
242 days and we'll be in
Disneyland celebrating the 50th birthday and doing the West coast cruise. it was completely unplanned and spontaneous on top of the cruise we already had booked but hey you can't take it with you.....Never been to California so we're really looking forward to it
It's so nice to be able to have these experiences isn't it?
we normally vacation every 3 or 4 months and the cost of this has us waiting a year so we're beginning to want a holiday sorry vacation. Vacations every 3 months possibly sounds indulgent to you folk because from what i understand you don't get as much vacation time as us. But 4- 5 weeks is the norm here and with Europe being so close it is not unusual to go abroad a couple of times each year as well as breaks at home.
I think the dilemma here with vacations is trying to fit them into the school holidays
Our kids get a couple days for Thanksgiving, a week or 2 for Christmas, a week for Easter and June/July/August for summer break. Of course every person in our nation tries to go to Orlando during those weeks.
I like going in early December-we get lower crowds, lower prices, and Christmas festivities...but my kids will have to make up
6 days of school when we return.
Plus of course whlie it may not be such good news for you guys the dollar is not doing so well against the pound at present so we are taking advantage of that.
I always say, people should take advantage of every opportunity handed to them.
I frequent the UK trip reports board...
the best part about your trips
is that they are so long. I get to read reports that are on average 2 weeks long!
I also enjoy seeing our country from another point of view.
It's the little things that make a difference
I won't be envious (well only a little) Have a wonderful time and we look forward to your report.
Thank you my friend...

We had those tickets too, and went to universal twice. It was a good deal!
I figure if we get there 2 days, we've got our money's worth,
anything over that is FREE!!!
I checked SOG tickets and it was $95 for only 2 days.
Universal
guarantees that they have the best price
and they actually do...the only difference is the tax-
I can live with that.
