Dec 24th?
We are flying down on the 23rd.

Today I went to have a manicure/pedicure and I had the girl put me down for December 23, 2005. She thought I was a nut, making an appointment a year in advance, but I always have to be doing something concerning the cruise!

I can't believe it's been 2 years since we started planning this trip!
I drive my family completely bonkers with my planning, but you know as well as I do that it's all worth it...every little bit makes a difference in the end,
especially with the cost. The cost seems so much more reasonable spreading it out over time.

 We'll say hi to Goofy for you!
I've read so many times about the emails from Epcot but have yet to use it...we'll try again this time, Mom you have to remind me!

We're flying down on the 24th and taking the DCL bus to the port. In January, Song opens it's December 2005 tickets, and I plan on us being on the 6 am flight down there!

:moped: :cheer2: Soon to be on our way.
We had a great Thanksgiving. It's great to have the whole family together.
I hope everyone else had a great Turkey day.

We will think of you during our trip to WDW & I'm sure Colleen will give you a great trip report. Good idea about the video e-mails - will do -.

This might sound dumb - but - is song an airline or ticket agency?

Jill :cat:

Our next step is airline tickets as well.
Do all the airlines release their December dates next month
or just Song?

Jill, Song is an airline, and a very cool :cool1: one at that! I read on the transportation board that the airlines open their tickets 330 days out, except for SouthWest, which I think is 6 months out. We love Song and always use them. We average $180 a ticket, get front seats, and have early departure/late return. They have the TVs in the headrests with video games and trivia contests to play with fellow passengers. And the colors are goovy!

That was cute about Hercules10.

:cloud9: Thanks Aisling.

We will definitely look into that one.

Tommorrow is my last day at work & Thursday packing is probably a priority.

:cool1: :jumping4:

Colleen has been excited for months. I'm just getting excited.

I just found this thread (thanks to DJ). we are planning a 4 family reunion cruise and just booked our staterooms yesterday. My father, a WW2 vet, will be takig his first ocean cruise and is really looking forward to it. We are all on Deck 6. It is our family's 8th Disney cruise and we are really looking forward to it.

When I booked, the CM said they were filling up fast. the early dinner seating is alraedy gone.

looking forward to hearing from you fellow cruisers. If I can help with any first-timers, let me know.

Randy

Your Dad makes at least the 3rd Vet on this cruise.

My DD (Tiggerwannabe) Colleen, My DGD & Her GF are going. We are in 6610 & I think a few of the others on the thread are on deck 6.

Jill

Hi Jill. I noticed there were other vets on board. That will make it more interesting for my Dad.

We are in 6630. We have always had 6616 but it was already taken.

Listening to what you are saying I'm glad we booked early.

We were on the "unofficial" 1st 10 day cruise. (7 days turned to 10 by the hurricane) That was the Western & I thought it would be great to take my other daughter on a cruise.

It looks like you will have quite a few in your group with 4 families.

Jill

my family is 4 (wife and I plus 2 boys, 18 & 21), my brother's family is 4 (he and his wife plus 2 girls, 13 & 16), my sister's family is 4 (her and husband plus 2 boys, 21 & 24) and my Father/wife. that makes 14 in all and a great reunion as they all live in different places.

6 for your group?

R

Hi RRB,

Our group (with trinibjill) is 4-
Me, Mom, my DD-Britt and her best friend Stef
(both girls will be 17 on the cruise.)
The other DISers here mostly have kids the same age range as yours,
one very large group is being younger ones...

Welcome!

Hi Randy,
welcome to our crew.
This will be mt family's first cruise...me Aisling (Ash-ling), DH Mel, DS20 Chad aka Wick on the Dis, and DS13 Jesse aka Aladdin's Clone on the Dis. I'm so happy that there will be Dis kids the same ages as my kids.
I can only imagine your dad's reaction when we cruise...he's going to love it, not just the cruise-part, but the whole Disney magic. We all can hardly wait.

Colleen's going to WDW in a couple of days! Woo hoo, and woo hoo to Jill, too!!!

I'm outta here shortly---driving to FL in the am.
Doin the Happy Dance!!!

~Hey Aisling~ Since you are so close, consider this...
If I can visit the city this winter I will give you a heads up-
maybe we can do a mini-meet of our own.

-I'll remember to hi to Goofy for you-
see you in the funny papers!
