Couldn't get back to sleep -- woke at 5:30 and I know the town will be setting off their 4th of July aerial bombs at 6am. Then, hopefully, I'll get back to sleep!

Anyway, this popped into my e-mail (from DS#1)--

Hello from Calcutta!

we are in calcutta, you should have an itinerary from my thank you note. i raised about 1000 over what i needed. we worked in kalighat today (mother theresa's home for the dying). we bathed, carried, dried, dressed, fed, massaged, and gave medicine to 50 men who are dying of tuberculosis, leprosy, and the like. it was so tough but a lot of prayer got me through it. i will have to fill you in on other stuff when i return home. i hope all is going well. it is july 4th here (there is a 10 and a half hour time difference.) so happy fourth of july! i will miss the parade and fireworks. this may be my only email so i hope it suffices. i love you both very much. thanks for all your love and support.

Thanks for posting that link Heather, I have been hearing so much about this movie for awhile now and I absolutely cannot wait to see it!

If you guys would remember my mom in your prayers I would really appreciate it. She goes in for knee surgery on Thursday. I most likely won't be able to get on the computer tomorrow night, we need to keep the phone line open in case there is a last minute cancellation and she can get in earlier. Right now her surgery is set for 3pm on Thursday but she would really like a morning surgery if possible. I will give you all an update when we get home Thursday night.

Just found out yesterday that soon-to-be-ex's lymphoma has not shrunk since the chemo in Spring. That means that he will be under-going a grueling 18 week schedule of three chemo drugs, prednisone, and monoclonal antibody therapy.

We've been separated for 21 months -- he had an affair and he moved out (across town). The only family he has is our two sons (ages 20 and 18). I don't know how involved I'm going to have to be or how involved I want to be. What I do know is that this pushes the divorce back even farther -- he needs my insurance coverage. So, I'm stuck here in limbo even longer.

Please, pray for my sons (the one in India doesn't know, yet, and won't until he comes home just before the chemo starts).
