Hi Everyone! I’m going to try this again since I had a VERY long typed out last night…and disboards deleted it. Yikes…
On to more exciting topics!
We hit bit of a plateau with planning this weekend. We’ve been talking about random aspects of the wedding for a while now whenever I feel like it and photography is probably one of my top items that is important to me.
My mom, however, does not understand how important photography is to me. I want to do a first look at CBR the morning of the wedding. Chris and I are very emotional people. Originally, Chris was going to know what my dress looked like and everything but now he is not. If he is not, I don’t want him to start crying in the middle of the church when I walk in. I want to have a moment where he can cry and I can laugh prior to being in front of people. I want to be able for him to look at me and tell me how I look, talk to me. My mother feels that I need to stick to tradition and not see each other until I walk into the door at the WP. No offense, if I do that I will be a nervous wreck the entire morning. As she put it, “nothing else we are doing is traditional”. Any Advice on how to convince her that a First Look is better?
Engagement Pictures:
We helped out a friend of mine yesterday with his business! He’s starting a photography business after he graduates college in May. He asked me if we would be willing to be “models” for him and we were like …. Okay! So here are my favorites from the shoot. They were taken by Shane Miller Images, He’ll be based out of New Jersey once he graduates.
These images made me so much more excited for our “real” engagement pictures!
Our “real” engagement pictures are going to be either in January or Februarys with a friend of mine. Allison worked as a Photopass Photographer during our college program and is studying photography. She’s amazing. And plus, she’s my best friend!
Perfect. We’re going to do some normal pictures and we’re also going to do a few ICE pictures…..Renting the ice out and getting out on it sounds perfect to me.
I chose to give up getting engagement photos taken in Disney as well as Dessert Party photos because Ice Hockey is a passion for both of us. This is something we’ll cherish.
And as a side note….
I drove the family mini-van into the ditch on the side of our driveway Friday night. On the way to the dealership, none the less! It’s all fine though, no damage to the car or me. Just a HYSTERICAL story now. I’ve been telling my mom for 2.5 years that “I’m gonna go in the ditch one of these days”….
Anyway, the first thing up today on my mind is Saturday [11/5]; we were 600 DAYS out! I was beyond excited. Not that that makes a major difference but here was my thinking on Saturday:
600 Days till we get married
235 Days till we sign our LOA!!
114 Days till we can “pencil” our date in but it’s not official, more like a “HEY! I want that spot”
36 Days until I see my castle and the Christmas decorations [Work!]
