Chris Brown

Maybe he was driven to hit his second wife? Is this what you are saying?

Obviously. ;)

Amen.

I have to say, I think some people on this thread are posting some of this insane stuff for attention. Nobody can be this uneducated on domestic violence. Can they?

It's called trolling. As long as someone is reacting to this person's ridiculous statements, she's going to keep making them. If nothing else, it seems that Her Royal Highness here knows all about pushing buttons, and perhaps that explains her unusual opinions about what happened between CB and Rhianna.

Back to the OP, if I had a shred of empathy or respect for Chris Brown after he beat Rhianna, it's completely gone after this incident. There was a time when he preached that the cycle of domestic violence can be broken. Some people can, but clearly not he. :sad2:

Yes, must be because it's completely impossible for someone to have a different view of a topic. I must be looking for reactions. There is a reason why he still has a fan base. Some people can see the truth.

If I'm not mistaken, her actual position is that any woman who is getting beaten by her husband/boyfriend/whoever should get out of the relationship, preferably after taking a baseball bat to the beater. Is anyone actually arguing against this position?

Yes, I believe you are mistaken.

I am interpreting her posts to mean that she believes any woman who is getting beaten by her husband/boyfriend deserves it because she is either a) a gold-digger, b) a button pusher, or c) a pushover who's not tough enough to physically fight back. Her remarks place all the blame on the beaten, not the beater.

Fortunately, it is obvious she is trolling for attention and/or an argument, and therefore, one can hope that she does not actually believe the wacky things she posts. :)

That is a pattern:rolleyes1time and time again.

There are many reasons why he may still have a fan base, but I doubt that "the truth" (whatever it means in this case) is one of them.

Some people genuinely don't care about what a performer does in real life. If they like someone's music, they do, and they don't care about anything else. Also, I am sure there are young men who find his misogynistic actions "cool." And then there are people who just enjoy watching train wrecks, as evidenced by this thread. :)

No Jersey YOU are Mistaken Sbell has it complelty correct.
Thank you sbell-That is exactly what I am saying but i think some here just don't want to see that.

Showed his true reflection? :rotfl:

Chris Brown sadly is noting to joke about.
He has abused a women and acts like an animal.

We continue to put "outlaws" on pedestals. Chris Brown is just the start of a sad ever growing list.
Making millions and bad/criminal behavior continues to show youth that bad choices can make you famous.

To be frank I'm tired of the "ghetto", I had a bad child hood pass.

Hence the problem.

To you, but we are all different and the world is not perfect. People WILL take advantage of you if you don't show them you won't take it. I think it's honorable for a man to defend his woman but if he doesn't I can defend myself. Sometimes violence is necessary especially when you are defending yourself and your honor which i think many people don't care about anymore.

Yes, Chris Brown is a HUGE jerk and needs help but does that mean he's not fixable, hopefully he is. Can he change, maybe.

Chris Brown is fixable. The problem is he needs to want to be fixed. I'm not seeing that. All I'm seeing is an unstable grown man throwing a fit when he's asked a question.

I am pretty sure her position is basically “don’t push a man to hit you and you will be ok” (ie “Don’t poke the bear”, as she posted earlier). Another position she seems to have taken is “show a man you are tough and will fight back, and he won’t hit you”.

Both are uneducated.
I think that you continue to miss her point.

I believe that it is as follows:

If you are being abused in a relationship, get out.
If someone hits her, she's going to fight back. I assume that this fight might be right then or later on when that someone isn't paying attention.
If you are going to do the stupid thing and stay in the abusive relationship, try not to hit any of the abuser's triggers.

Everything I have seen on this thread defending CB is coming from this type of mentallity. :headache:

Not really, but it is very hard for me to believe the tale of unknown/unwanted abuse from a girl who's on the radio singing "sticks and stones may break my bones but chains ands whips excite me." He has rage and anger issues though, clearly after the whole GMA thing.
