Children's Menu Question

I'm sure this has been asked a gazillion times... but with the search feature not working properly, I can't find an answer.

I have an 11-yo extremely picky eater. There is no way I want to purchase a $25 meal for him when all he'll eat is a couple of chicken fingers. How strict is Disney regarding the ages for ordering off the children's menu?

I'd really rather not lie about it either. If worse comes to worse, I suppose I could feed him before we go out to dinner at a full-service restaurant and just get him a drink? Will that be frowned upon?

Thanks!

I have read many times over that it's perfectly acceptable to order off of the children's menu.

If you do the DDP then you have to pay for them as an adult, but OOP you can pay for them as a child.

You should not have any problem ordering for him off of the children's menu. If you are eating buffet, you will have to pay the adult price though. My DS10 will eat children's meals at some restaurants and order adult meals at others. There are also times that my DS will just order an appetizer. They are not likely to even question your son's age. Have a great trip.

Thank you, thank you!!

This makes me feel so much better about my dining choices! :goodvibes Just don't want to waste money... :rolleyes1

My 16 year old cousin ordered from the children's menu last year and the CM didn't have a problem with that.
