Chicks and Roosters...part 2

Good morning all!

Sorry I've been AWOL. We're busy at work and somehow I lost my weekends & coffee/Dis time.
There seems to be something else going on all the time.

Tricia, have fun shopping!
My kids are older and I don't have much to buy anymore.

Good morning! I'm back, sorry I didn't check in over the weekend. I was swamped. Disneyland was great. We ended up leaving two hours later than planned on Wednesday but it all worked out. It seemed that good timing was on our side all day.

We were completely relaxed, I wasn't in full on commando mode because I didn't need to be. I find that going every year has relaxed me. I don't try to fit in everything because there's always next year.

I have to say that Toy Story Mania is awesome! It was so much fun! I thought it would be a repeat of Buzz but it's not at all. It was great.

Haunted Mansion Holiday is one of my favorites. I'm not a big fan of parts of the normal Haunted Mansion (bride give me the creeps) but I love the Christmas version.

I got a good chunk of my Christmas shopping done too.

Welcome back Susan. I didn't know that Haunted Mansion had a Christmas version. :confused3 I don't think they have it at DW because I was there last year for Thanksgiving and they didn't do it. I'm looking forward to trying out Toy Story Mania. I heard it's like Buzz but in 3-D. Glad to hear you liked it.

Waiting for kick off for Monday night football. Normally I don't watch but the Saints are playing tonight.

Good morning all

Susan. glad you had fun. That's nice that you did alot of relaxing... Christmas shopping. :)

Good morning!

Do you all have big plans for Thanksgiving? We are staying home (yeah!). My aunt and uncle are coming over for dinner on Thursday and then my aunt and cousin are coming on Saturday. I need to get that guest room clean. I tend to pile things up in there this time of year!

Tricia, the Haunted Mansion Holiday is based on The Nightmare Before Christmas. They don't do it at WDW but it's a lot of fun and always popular.

Good Morning.

I'll be doing some cooking today. We are having Thanksgiving at my moms house this year but everyone contributes to the meal. I only have to make my green bean casserole, a few desserts and bring drinks. I always make some kind of cookie for the kids because my kids don't really care for pie. I think this year I'm going to make a chocolate sugar cookie for them. They love it and it's really easy to do.

We are in the 30's right now but are supposed to warm up into the 70's today. :goodvibes

Morning all

We go to my mom's tomorrow. The girls don't like turkey so she only makes a turkey breast. It's just me, Cliff and my mom that will be eating it.

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Wednesday!

I will be doing whatever I am told to do! I'm my mother's only slave so I have to be on alert. I might make a pumpkin dessert if I can find the recipe. I know it involves canned pumpkin, cake mix and a lot of butter! It was very easy and very good.

I hope you all have a very blessed day with your family and friends. I've already walked three miles in anticipation of what's to come today. I've got food in the oven that I'll be taking to mom's but just wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving before I leave.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I hope that you all have lots of wonderful food and good times with family.

I'm waiting on a pie to bake and then heading over to my parent's house.

Happy Black Friday. Kendall is a little disappointed that I'm not hitting the stores with her this year. She loves getting up with me at 4 AM to shop. This year I've done so much of my shopping online that I really didn't need to be in all that craziness today. I am however going to the Game Stop because I've been on a quest to find a Wii Fit and they have it advertised today. They don't open until 7:00 so I still have an hour before I leave.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and now it's officially the Christmas Season.
:santa:

Good morning -oops- afternoon!

I've been out since eight with my mom. We did really well. I think the majority of my shopping is now done. I've got one 7 year old football fan to buy for and I've got my parents, but other than that I'm done. I'm waiting for a few things to come that I ordered though. The shocker of it all was that I didn't come home with a single thing for myself! Usually I find something I can't live without!

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving weekend.

Tricia, tell Kendall wshe can come here and we can go shopping. :)
I went out at 3:30 and started at Kohl's then fell asleep at 7 that night. :rotfl:

Just how did you get her to go shopping that early?
My kids would never go!

Kristi thanks for telling me about Patsy's birthday. How was your Thanksgiving?

Good morning everyone. Well today is Cyber Monday. Suppose to have lots of great internet deals going on. I'll have to let you know what I find because I'm still on a hunt for a few things.

I could tell it was Cyber Monday because of all the ads I got in my e-mail box! I haven't even attempted to look. The stuff I want to buy is actually for me and I think I'd better wait until January when the wallet isn't so thin. Plus there's always the chance that people do listen to me when I tell them what I like.

Oh yeah, good morning!

My aunt and cousin arrived on Saturday and we had Thanksgiving again. It was a nice time. My cousin has grown up a lot (she's 21 now) and we had a lot of fun spending time with each other.

I put my tree up last night but other than the tree skirt, lights, and angel on top it's empty! I'm tempted to leave it that way. . .

You're welcome  Our thanksgiving was good. How was yours?

Kristi we had a really nice and relaxing Thanksgiving. We went to my mom's and both my sister's families were there. I think we had 21 for dinner.

I didn't get anything on "Cyber Monday". I looked but nothing seemed to jump out at me. Getting a hair cut today then hitting Target to try and get a gift or two.

Susan I know your mom is a teacher, do you know what kind of gifts teachers really like to get for Christmas? I haven't gotten anything yet for the kids teachers and I have several to buy for.

Good morning all

I'm way down on my internet shopping this year. Nothing is jumping at me either. :confused3
I think the close we get the discounts will be bigger.

Good morning.

Tricia, I can't speak for all teachers but I know with my mom, sometimes less is more. She's always happy to get a plant, a plate of cookies (which my dad eats), or even a $5 gift certificate to Startbucks or Jamba Juice. I think that most teachers accumulate so much stuff, that it's nice to get something useful. Books are nice gifts too. A nice hardcover edition of a new children's book is useful in the classroom. That's just my opinion though.
