Chicks and Roosters...part 2

Susan look what happened at my house today. Can you believe snow in Louisiana? :yay:

Wow! I heard about the snow. It's supposed to rain here for five days but I don't think snow is on the forecast. I never got those pictures posted. Sorry! It seems like time got away from me. It does that, especially this time of year. I'm taking Monday off because I just can't get it all done.

Any big plans this weekend?

My friends are coming because tomorrow is my birthday. Argh, I'm getting so old.

Let me wish you a Happy Birthday now because I always have good intentions to DIS on the weekends but real life gets in the way and it doesn't always happen.

Thanks so much! I'll take the greetings early because I have the same problems with the Dis and weekends!

Well Susan how was your birthday weekend? Kelsie's birthday is tomorrow. I can't believe I'm the mother of a 17 year old.

I have a really good recipe for a chocolate chip pound cake. That's her favorite so I'll be baking that today.

I made that cake last night and the whole house smelled wonderful. I'm looking forward to having a big piece tonight.

Susan are you still recovering from your birthday weekend. It must have been a doozy. :rotfl:

When does Joanne come back from Disney? She should be having mild weather compared to NY.

Happy birthday to Kelsie!

Sorry I wasn't around! I had friends visiting who took over the guest room, which is where the computer is. It was a busy weekend but a good one. I'm not sure when I passed the point where birthdays were big monumental events but that's long gone. I still had to clean the house, do laundry, and all the other chores that go along with being a grown up.

I did have a nice dinner with my friends and my parents. My aunt and uncle came by last night and we finished off the cake. Sunday was spent babysitting my friends' four year old so they could have a day to themselves.

I hope your weekend was nice too! Did Kelsie have a party?

Tonight we are having family over just for a quick Happy Birthday piece of cake and icecream because it's exam week for both Kelsie and Kendall. I think this weekend she's going out to dinner with some of her friends for a birthday celebration.

I'm glad to hear you had a nice birthday. For me my birthday is just another day but to Colin he thinks you need to have a party on your special day. :confused3

Happy Belated Birthday Susan and Kelsie!

WDW at Christmas time was fabulous! Everything is so festive and pretty. :goodvibes
I had a great time!

Tricia, on Saturday all the Christmas decorations were 50% off, tee-shirts and coffee mugs were 40% off. I'm sure you can imaginee how much stuff I bought. :lmao:

Welcome home Joanne. I'm glad you had a great trip and it sounds like you bought lots of stuff.

So now the real question................pictures! Did you take lots of pictures?

My camera broke the very first day!! The lens inside cracked.
I have absolutely nu luck with digitals cameras. :sad2:

Welcome back Muffy! I'm glad you had a good time.

Last night was our 2nd Christmas party for work, so now we are all tired! The whole office is dragging. Should have done it on Friday!

Susan was it at the office or in a restaurant? Drinks a flowing perhaps making everyone drag. :rotfl:

I'm making my Christmas trip to Sam's Club today. We are hosting Mark's family on Christmas Eve this year (about 50 people) so buying in bulk seems like the thing to do. Not to mention that I love shopping at Sam's anyway.

Good morning!

Susan. I hope you all got through the day alright. Mid week parties do stink.

Tricia, 50 people?? I can't imagine how much you have to buy!
With all those people you won't notice one more. :rolleyes1

The more the merrier I say. It's not a sit down dinner, more of a buffet and I don't do all the cooking. All the families bring one dish to add to the smorgasbord of goodies. I'll be supplying all the alcohol and desserts along with a few food items. Santa even makes an appearance too. :santa: I'm really looking forward to it. It used to be at Mark's mom's house every year but since the hurricane it now travels around. Mark has eight brothers and sisters so it's not really a bad deal at all.

Good afternoon! I was actually busy at work this morning (shocker!).

Our office party was at one of the owners/managers homes. We are all much perkier today.

Tricia, that sounds like an awful lot of work! How will you fit everyone in? Hope you had fun at Sams though!

I just ran out to Bed Bath and Beyond during my lunch break to get my parents a charging station (for their cell phones) and to look for a big squeegee on some sort of broom handle. I ended up with a small squeegee on a broom handle, the charging station, a reed diffuser (for me) and a doggie pedicure thingy. A little more than I planned but that's how shopping goes. . .

Good morning all

Susan, are yoo down with Christmas shopping now?
Tricia, sounds like you will be having a fun party!

Good morning!

I'm not quite done shopping. I'm heading to Borders today to look for a football book for the 7 year old son of a friend. I still need something else for my dad. He's so hard to shop for! He doesn't need anything or ask for anything and well, he's just hard.

Morning ladies.

Don't you just love when you can sleep in but still get up the same time as the alarm would have gone off? :scared: It happens to me all the time. I'll finally get my sleeping just right (or should I say my waking up) just in time for the kids to go back to school in two weeks. Then that darn alarm clock will be going off again way too soon.

Happy shopping and wrapping. I think there is a lot of that going on today.

Happy Monday. :santa: Only two more shopping days till the big guy comes. Since it's so early I guess you could call it three days because I think the stores are open until around 6 or so on Christmas Eve. :confused3

Kendall has an Ortho appt. this morning then a checkup at the Dr's this afternoon. Fun times await us today. :rotfl:
