Chicks and Roosters...part 2

Good morning.

Tricia, I can't speak for all teachers but I know with my mom, sometimes less is more. She's always happy to get a plant, a plate of cookies (which my dad eats), or even a $5 gift certificate to Startbucks or Jamba Juice. I think that most teachers accumulate so much stuff, that it's nice to get something useful. Books are nice gifts too. A nice hardcover edition of a new children's book is useful in the classroom. That's just my opinion though.

That's a wonderful idea! I never thought of books for teacher to use in class. Great idea Susan! :thumbsup2

Morning all

does anyone watch The Biggest Loser? . :headache:

does anyone watch The Biggest Loser? . :headache:

I've seen it a few times. From the headache you posted I guess someone won that you weren't rooting for. What happened?

Good Morning.

I'm starting to get bummed that I don't have a picture taken for my Christmas cards yet. I have to put that on my must do list for the weekend.

Morning everyone!!! Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving! we're home and we had a blast!

Here are some photos from Frankenmuth, we are trying to plan our next trip there! The looong weekends are always the best!

The Bavarian Inn is HUGE, but it's very walkable and for us was perfect since we were right by an elevator that went down to the family fun center! Restaurants were only about a 5 minute walk from the room too. Front desk was about a 7 minute walk :) We did an internet rate of 189.00 I believe for each room. We had an awesome water view room that overlooked a river of sorts. So pretty! The funny thing is at the Herzog hotel we also had a waterview room and I could see our location at the Bavarian from that room! I have balcony shots somewhere of each room! I'm sloooowly uploading and will probably just do one blog post about the trip :)

One Room at the Bavarian
Between the beds and the balcony there was enough room for Gabriel, Autumn and Roman to play with their Thomas the Train set that was set in a figure 8 layout and they were laying on their bellies. On the right was the adjoining door, fridge, desk, another arm chair and wide dresser with television. Behind me was a large closet (set up POP century style) Tiny bathroom (bath tub took up 90% of the space) and then the vanity and coffee maker were on the outside.

View from our carriage ride. This was the carriage ride right outside of the Bavarian Inn, they charge PER PASSENGER and it was a 20 minute ride. They are black carriages. The WHITE carriages across the street in the Zhenders Training Facility parking lot only charge per carriage, are much nicer AND a longer ride (35min)with a better view. We wish we would have done 2 white carriage rides instead of one of each. The white one was 60.00 for us with a tip and I believe the Black one was 50.00 with a tip.

Good morning!

Michelle, that place looks beautiful! I've never even heard of it before. I'm glad you had a good time and it's nice to see you!

Christmas cards? I haven't even got that far yet.

I leave tomorrow for a conference in Las Vegas. Part of me is looking forward to it and part of me is thinking of all the other things I could be doing at home!

Michelle it's so nice to hear from you again. I've been to Frankenmuth once about eight years ago. I loved that town and would love to visit it again. They have the world's largest Christmas Store there too. I remember buying lots of ornaments and taking so many fun pictures.

Susan, Vegas! :woohoo: Sounds like fun. I've never been there around the holidays. I'm guessing all the hotels are decked out just beautifully. How long are you staying?

I'll be home late Saturday night. It's for work so I won't be completely free for fun. I've never been at this time of year either. I'll try to take some pictures.

Good morning! I'm drinking my coffee before leaving for the airport in an hour. I'm feeling pretty yucky too. Last night I was at Bunco and started feeling pretty bad. This morning my throat is on fire. I'm really hoping that I can ignore whatever I've got for the next couple of days.

morning all

susan. have a safe trip! i hope you feel better. :)

Michelle, I've never been to Frankemouth but it looks so nice!
The largest Christmas store sounds cool!

Good Morning.

Susan I hope you feel better and have a safe trip. Throw a little fun in there since it's Vegas.

Kelsie was home sick yesterday with a stomach bug. :scared: She's feeling better now but I'm keeping her home again today to be sure. I hope it doesn't go around to the rest of us.

Happy Monday!

Susan I hope you had a great time in Vegas and maybe even came home a winner. :thumbsup2

I'm down to just a few Christmas gifts left. I need Colin's bus driver and Teacher gifts them I'm done. I hope to get all that this week so I can stay out of the stores the week of Christmas.

Afternoon all

Tricia, good for you on finish your shopping! :cool1:
Susan, I hope your cashing in at Vegas!

I'm leaving for WDW on Wednesday. It's driving me nuts on what jackets to bring. I'm used to going when it's 95 dregrees.

I know I'll be bringing too much.

Happy Monday!

I'm back, tired, and still sniffling a bit but it's all good. Vegas was fun. Lots of sitting around at seminars but that's ok, I learned things. I didn't win any money but didn't lose any either so I suppose that's what counts.

I didn't do anything yesterday. I have so much to do and completely wasted my day being sick. It was good to rest though. I'm feeling better today.

Good morning

Susan, I hope you're feeling even much better today.

i'll see you guys next Wednesday. I'm leaving tomorrow!
I'm so excited I can't think about anything else!! :cool1:

Have a good week and good luck to all Christmas shopping! :santa:

Good morning!

Have a wonderful time Muffy! I wish I were going with you! Of course then you'd wonder why a stranger was following you all over the place!

I am feeling better. This was a fairly easy cold for the most part. I'll give the credit to Airborne which I was guzzling all week.

We are having the first of our two Christmas parties at work tonight. This is the gift exchange/happy hour. Next week is the dinner at the owners house. I'm still not sure why we are having two. I missed out on that conversation!

Joanne enjoy your trip. Are the girls as excited about going as you are? In my opinion there's nothing better than being at Disney will all the Christmas decorations up setting the mood for Christmas.

Susan have fun at the party tonight. I hope they have good food.:santa:

Joanne today's the big day. I'm not sure what time you all are leaving but in case you stop in I wanted to tell you to have a wonderful time at Disney. Take picture so I can live through you.

Hey Susan did you take pictures from DisneyLand?

Good morning!

Well the party was short and sweet (cause we are all too old to be hanging around in bars very long). My gift was a Border's certificate which means that people are finally starting to "get" me. I had a watemelon mojito which I didn't care for and they ordered a lot of food that I wouldn't eat. It was still fun. I went home and ate a bowl of raisin bran.:rotfl:

I did take a few pictures from DL. I'll try to post a few today. :thumbsup2
