Yes. Excellent gesture on the Cubs part. Glad to hear Bartman accepted and both the team and he want to put it behind them.Very cool. I remember when that happened, I was angry, but not wanting to do bodily harm angry. Too bad the desire for a Cubbie's win overruled the common decency for your fellow man concept.![]()
I was across the street in Bernie's. It was literally a moment of disbelief, then like watching a train wreck. You wanted to walk away but couldn't. I remember as the game went on the angrier people got . My anger was directed at Dusty Baker, honestly. Alou wasn't getting that ball anyway~the incident did solidify my superstitious side tho. Seat 113...what are the odds? When W'vilel was insane over last seasons playoff and every bar was charging a king's ransom to book a table, we had thought ahead and booked a place a week out for the Dodger game Saturday night (NLCS game 6) We had popped in there the week before and they were just opening, most had no idea they were up and running yet so we didn't have to pay a cover/ransom etc. Just booked a table. when we got there the table was numbered 113. Not gonna lie, I looked at my brother and was like, ummmmmm...and we asked to be moved to 114. Y'all know the result, 5-0 shut-out Hendricks over Kerhsaw. I understand Ricketts had reached out multiple times to Bartman, including to be a presenter at the ring ceremony. As Dan said, glad that he accepted the gesture and all parties can hopefully move on.Very cool. I remember when that happened, I was angry, but not wanting to do bodily harm angry. I think they play better when neither you or I are there, lol. We seem to induce the opposite effect of suffering from a blow out, instead of delivering one. I saw that instagram post last night~what a welcome to the Cub's game for Justin and Alex. I think Kewz might be there Saturday! Thanks. Nope, I was supposed to be there last night but we were too tired after going to my DD's college orientation so I sold my tix at the last minute. I also sold my tickets to a friend a long time ago so I'm at home tonight. I have tix for Saturday.
I found this on Instagram (I don't think you need to be on Instagram to see it):

You will definitely want to pack a light jacket or sweatshirt and wear it to Wrigley. Wrigley can be quite chilly when the rest of the city is just fine. You don't want to be one of those people who needs to buy an $80 sweatshirt in the ballpark.I will be there Saturday! Love to meet you, Robin, and say a quick hello but no worries if the timing isn't right.
Quick question for the two of you (guys you are welcome to chime in)...looking at the weather I see Friday has a high of 65* and Saturday a high of 77*. I'm pretty excited about the cooler temps but wondering what I should be packing. Does it tend to feel colder than the temp indicates? Will I need a lightweight sweater/jacket for the evenings or will long sleeves be enough? Thanks!

From what you said about the temperatures when you had a heat wave there, I think he may be on to something.def a light jacket/hoodie...anything that breaks the wind. I think it feels colder, as in (75 feels like 65 if the wind is blowing) but then again my DH says the surface of the sun isn't hot enough for me lol.
