Thank you all for the birthday wishes! It was pretty good since I had to work today;). Not sure what we are doing for dinner since someone has 2 tests tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Hersey!!! Hope it was fun - did you do anything exciting?

I am jealous of slo on that cruise lol. Windy and light rain here today. Crockpot humming with stew beef though, yum.

Your crockpot humms?:rotfl:

I unfortunately had to work. 2 weeks ago Alex and I went to WDW and had our first stay at SSR that was our birthday celebration.:woohoo:

hiya all. Back again.
Hersey, nothing like spending your birthday at WDW. That's where we were this time last year and where I spent my 40th. Great place to get old!!!!:lmao:

Quick fly by....

Happy belated birthdays to Becky's youngest DS, Tiggerrn, and Hersey!
:bday: :cake: party:

Tiggerrn-glad you had a good time at Woodfield Mall! :thumbsup2
Doorway to Dreams is at the upper level down another coridor, can't remember which coridor. I think Norstroms? Not anywhere near the Disney Store. Way at the other end of the mall. I don't go to Woodfield that often, either, and I live 10 min from there.

Hi to all!

Have a good week everyone.

Good morning everyone!

My Tastefully Simple party was nice, and I offically re-activated as a consultant yesterday.

Dewain's grandma is having surgery today to repair a leaking anyuerism near her stomach.

Hi all!!!

Sorry to have not checked in for a while!!!
I've been busy with business stuff and house things. Trying to work on projects around the house I've been procrastinating on!! ;)

Lauren is doing fine since her fall. She is now getting over a cold. And has lovingly given it to her brother. :goodvibes
And her sleep over was fun, but probably will be the last for a while!!!!! :rolleyes1

We are having a HUGE garage sale this weekend.
Anyone interested in early Christmas shopping should come by!! :rotfl: Seriously!!!! :rotfl2:

Micheal Congrats on the new baby!!! :yay:

mac Sorry to hear you were hurt on HM!!! I hope you're feeling better!

Tiggerrrrrrnnnnn <---- filling in for slo there!! :)
Sorry to hear you have to head downtown for jury duty. I got out of it when I was pregnant. They didn't even ask for proof, just called and they took me off the list. Try that one. And if anyone can get some form of "proof" it would be YOU!!!! :rotfl2:

Leigh Thanks for sharing your TR!!! :teeth:

piglet Hope your knee is doing better.

Sam Megan's new hair cut sounds cute!! Can't wait to see it!!!
I'll have a couple American Girl things for sale this weekend!!! :thumbsup2
Packed yet????

Happy b-day to anyone I missed!!! All though for a few of you I did call!!! ;)

And a HELLO to one and all!!! Hope you're all doing well!!!

Well I need to run. Not sure when I'll be back on.
:wave2:

Hey Bunchy! I'll be over on Saturday, with Bells On!

Megan had PJ day at school today and she wore her hair in those "puppy ear" pony tails like Chrissy Snow on Three's Company. If you don't know what show I speak of... you are too young to be reading this reply! :rotfl:

Bunchkin, before you run away again, would you think it was weird for a grown woman to want an AG Doll? Do you have one that you consider "yours"? I know its sounds strange, but I would really like Elizabeth.

See you Saturday! :yay:

I want a Kirsten AG doll, have ever since they came out. I even have gone to "visit" her when I am downtown. So, no, don't think it is wierd at all. (I also thought about applying to work there when they first opened, thought with my name I would be a shoe-in)

Bunchkin ~ Sadly my knee is no better. I see the ortho surgeon on Friday, and I hope he can get a MRI orderd right away.

Your crockpot humms?:rotfl:

Yes it does!! LOL! I was listening to it..the sound when after you pickup the lid to check and place it down again, and some moisture is now in between the lid and the crock and it bubbles and shakes making a noise! Hum is the closest word to the noise that it makes hehehehe.

Chilly here today! I am hoping to hold off on putting on the heat but if it does not warm up, I will be hearing the furnace hum too! LOL!

Part 4 of TR:

The next country I ate at for the F&W Fest. was

Poland
Paczki (Doughnut)

It wasn't really that good. :confused3 I had had one at work once and really liked it. I don't really remember what it was like, but I know this one wasn't as good. It seemed like it had too much bread and not enough fruity stuff inside. And maybe I would like a different flavor better. I can't remember what this one was, something like apricot, which I don't eat.

Germany/Oktoberfest
Spaetzle with Creamy Mushroom Ragout

This was good. I don't think I had ever had spaetzle, and didn't really know what to expect. It's like noodle that more in the shape of rice, but a little longer and squigglier. Then it was in a creamy mushroom sauce. I thought the mushrooms would be sliced, but they were round. They weren't too big, though. This was really good. The only thing wrong with it was the parts where there the spaetzle didn't get any sauce, those were a little dry and hard. But I had so much that if I couldn't mix it in enough I could just leave it. The moist parts were really good. :thumbsup2

South Africa
Spice Cake - with ruit Marinated in Rooibos Vanilla Tea

Can't say this was very good! :rotfl2: The cake was pretty dry (that's how it was supposed to be, I think), and then the fruit was just kind of weird. Just wasn't that great.

Ireland
Boxty Potato Pancake - with Bacon Chips and Kerrygold Garlic and Fresh Herb Butter

I didn't even notice any bacon, but it seemed like there might have been onion (I couldn't ttell what they were, but I don't like onions), which made me a little leery of the whole thing. They gave you a little pat of the butter. I didn't even realize what it was at first, I thought it might be cheese. The pancake was ok, but another thing that wasn't really all that great.

Mexico
Chilaquiles - Baked Tortillas with Chicken and Cheese
Conga Juice

Ok, Mexico was where I hit the wall. I felt ok before I got the food, I think, but almost as soon as I started eating the Chilaquiles I just started feeling so full and sick. I don't know if it was the spicy Mexican food or what. That happens to me a lot, I don't know when to stop eating and I overstuff myself. But the Chilaquiles (and the Conga Juice, which is non-alcoholic, just like a punch) were so good that I had to keep eating! I didn't like the chicken as much when I got to it, I don't really like chicken in things, although I do like chicken. But just the parts with the tortilla, sauce (green), cheese, and sour cream were yummy. The chicken wasn't bad, I just don't like the flavor it gives it. But anyway, I had gone to sit at a table in the counter service seating area so I could rest while I ate. I found a place to sit in every country, even if it was just the ground. So I sat there and ate and got sicker and sicker, but kept eating. :scared: :sad2: There were birds walking around my feet eating food off the ground, and families coming and going. Finally I stopped eating and just sat there a while longer, trying to feel better. I think part of my problem is that I'm so short and my esophagus isn't that long. I'm serious. I get a lot of acid reflux.

So finally I decided that I might be doing a little better and I'd get moving. So then I went into Mexico (I might have the order reversed on this, but it doesn't matter ;) ) and looked around the market for a while. There was a little boy, maybe about 5 or 6, saying Mom, Mom? I asked him if he was lost, and he said yes. So started looking around for a CM to tell, trying to figure out who would be the best person, since it's kind of non-standard CM's in there. I was leaning toward the Kidcot station, but it was totally busy, and I really didn't want to take him in there and away from where he had been waiting, but I hated to just stand there with him and have him get panicked that I wasn't doing anything. So while I was thinking about it for a minute, his mom cam up saying Joey? or whatever his name was, and there was a reunion. She hadn't realized that she didn't have all her kids. So crisis averted.

Then I rode the Mexico ride, and headed over to Norway to ride Maelstrom, because I had gotten a Fastpass for it earlier. As I passed by Mexico I happened to look over to the side, and there was Donald in his sombrero and poncho! Yay! :yay: It was too bad the other Cabelleros weren't there, but I'd take Donald. So I went over there, just intending to take a picture, but then I decided to get in line and get my picture with him. I went up to him and said It's the One Cabellero, and he did a little fist pump. :goodvibes

Then I went over to Norway, but I was starting to feel not so good again. I found the bathroom, and then sat outside of it for a while, because it was fairly peaceful over there. I'm sure everyone was wondering what I was doing sitting there with my eyes closed. I would think I was feeling better, then I would feel worse. Then I remembered I had Tums and thought that might help. I took one or two, and that seemed to actually make it worse, because all of a sudden I was running into the bathroom and

. Sorry, I know, TMI. :rolleyes1 But of course after that, I felt fine. I rode Maelstrom, and then headed back around towards Mexico. I even ate the final thing I had really wanted to try.

Argentina
Organic Spicy Beef Empanadas

This had gotten great reviews, but I didn't think it was anything special. It was just beef in a little pocket thingy, and it was way too dry, no sauce. So I really only ate a few bites of it.

By then it was maybe around 8pm. I got a wristband for EMH, thinking I might want to do them, but then I decided my feel were just too tired to go trekking around Future World. So I went into one shop and looked around, and then decided to head toward the exit. I waited in a line forever and got some popcorn (what was I thinking, like I hadn't eaten enough??? It did smell good, though.) and then went and caught the bus back to WL. I went to my room and rested for a while, and then went out to the dock and watched the Electrical Water Pageant, and also saw Hallowishes. That's the end of my Friday, finally! :rotfl:

Greetings..

Hi to all .. I have been busy with work and scouts.. so what is new??
HUH!! DH is out of town this week, ... but then I make it up to him as I am out of town all next week... hope the weather is good in Orlando.

Geoff works the Haunted Hike this weekend plus doing a model UN conference at Stevenson on Saturday, Friday is Model UN stuff after school and then he is working the playoff game on Friday night ..doe this kid ever settle down???

Well I have a few more things to clean and then start getting ready tomorrow nights dinner. so the boys can just throw it in the oven..

Dewain's grandmother has passed away. Even though the repair part of the surgery worked, they were unable to get her BP to a safe level. Her heart was too weak and she died a couple hours after being taken to ICU.

Piglet I am so sorry.. at least she is at peace and is without pain and is with God.. I will remember your family in my prayers..

Thank you. I do find solace in the fact that she is no longer hurting and is at peace. She was 81, lived a happy life, and was loved by so many.

of course after that, I felt fine. I rode Maelstrom, and then headed back around towards Mexico. I even ate the final thing I had really wanted to try.

That's the way to do it!! I never let a little thing like getting sick stand in the way of more food! ;)

Seriously thought, It's good that it didn't do you in for the night. I love trying all different kinds of stuff and Carol is often amazed at how I can go crazy ordering way too much stuff just because I want to try it all. :lmao:

I love Spatzle!! Even just buttered is good.

I have noticed that it is slower here with SLO gone on her cruise. Hope she is having a wonderful time..

I leave Sunday at 6 am ( the flight leaves at 6 am I am leaving the house at 4:30 am) for the company user conference in Orlando and then staying a few days to play at WDW.. ah the wonders of an AP..:thumbsup2 As I explained to DH- the only cost is the $59 POP room.. I did forget to mention F&W stuff, meeting OF and RRBB and their family, dinner at Kona with a DISer, ..

Well off to start work.. I am meeting with Geoff and his college counselor at 4:45 today...

piglet, so sorry for your loss. I will keep your family in my prayers. It always helps to remember the good times.
Good morning all. Hi geffric. Enjoy your week away!!!
Slow around here without Slo.
Actually I have a day that does not require me running all over the place like a crazy woman!!! With the gloominess, I may go back to bed.:rotfl:
Later all.

Happy belated birthdays to Hersey!
:bday: :cake: party:

Leigh sorry you got sick at Epcot.. :grouphug: thanks for the TR

I have noticed that it is slower here with SLO gone on her cruise.

Yes, she is definitely the life blood of the thread. But, I'm sure we can maintain until she gets back. Then we can all pester her until she posts her trip report. ;)

Hope she is having a wonderful time..

Of that, I have zero doubt. :)
