Part 4 of TR:
The next country I ate at for the F&W Fest. was
Poland
Paczki (Doughnut)
It wasn't really that good.

I had had one at work once and really liked it. I don't really remember what it was like, but I know this one wasn't as good. It seemed like it had too much bread and not enough fruity stuff inside. And maybe I would like a different flavor better. I can't remember what this one was, something like apricot, which I don't eat.
Germany/Oktoberfest
Spaetzle with Creamy Mushroom Ragout
This was good. I don't think I had ever had spaetzle, and didn't really know what to expect. It's like noodle that more in the shape of rice, but a little longer and squigglier. Then it was in a creamy mushroom sauce. I thought the mushrooms would be sliced, but they were round. They weren't too big, though. This was really good. The only thing wrong with it was the parts where there the spaetzle didn't get any sauce, those were a little dry and hard. But I had so much that if I couldn't mix it in enough I could just leave it. The moist parts were really good.
South Africa
Spice Cake - with ruit Marinated in Rooibos Vanilla Tea
Can't say this was very good!

The cake was pretty dry (that's how it was supposed to be, I think), and then the fruit was just kind of weird. Just wasn't that great.
Ireland
Boxty Potato Pancake - with Bacon Chips and Kerrygold Garlic and Fresh Herb Butter
I didn't even notice any bacon, but it seemed like there might have been onion (I couldn't ttell what they were, but I don't like onions), which made me a little leery of the whole thing. They gave you a little pat of the butter. I didn't even realize what it was at first, I thought it might be cheese.

The pancake was ok, but another thing that wasn't really all that great.
Mexico
Chilaquiles - Baked Tortillas with Chicken and Cheese
Conga Juice
Ok, Mexico was where I hit the wall. I felt ok before I got the food, I think, but almost as soon as I started eating the Chilaquiles I just started feeling so full and sick. I don't know if it was the spicy Mexican food or what. That happens to me a lot, I don't know when to stop eating and I overstuff myself. But the Chilaquiles (and the Conga Juice, which is non-alcoholic, just like a punch) were so good that I had to keep eating! I didn't like the chicken as much when I got to it, I don't really like chicken in things, although I do like chicken. But just the parts with the tortilla, sauce (green), cheese, and sour cream were yummy. The chicken wasn't bad, I just don't like the flavor it gives it. But anyway, I had gone to sit at a table in the counter service seating area so I could rest while I ate. I found a place to sit in every country, even if it was just the ground. So I sat there and ate and got sicker and sicker, but kept eating.

There were birds walking around my feet eating food off the ground, and families coming and going. Finally I stopped eating and just sat there a while longer, trying to feel better. I think part of my problem is that I'm so short and my esophagus isn't that long. I'm serious. I get a lot of acid reflux.
So finally I decided that I might be doing a little better and I'd get moving. So then I went into Mexico (I might have the order reversed on this, but it doesn't matter

) and looked around the market for a while. There was a little boy, maybe about 5 or 6, saying Mom, Mom? I asked him if he was lost, and he said yes.

So started looking around for a CM to tell, trying to figure out who would be the best person, since it's kind of non-standard CM's in there. I was leaning toward the Kidcot station, but it was totally busy, and I really didn't want to take him in there and away from where he had been waiting, but I hated to just stand there with him and have him get panicked that I wasn't doing anything. So while I was thinking about it for a minute, his mom cam up saying Joey? or whatever his name was, and there was a reunion. She hadn't realized that she didn't have all her kids. So crisis averted.
Then I rode the Mexico ride, and headed over to Norway to ride Maelstrom, because I had gotten a Fastpass for it earlier. As I passed by Mexico I happened to look over to the side, and there was Donald in his sombrero and poncho! Yay!

It was too bad the other Cabelleros weren't there, but I'd take Donald. So I went over there, just intending to take a picture, but then I decided to get in line and get my picture with him. I went up to him and said It's the One Cabellero, and he did a little fist pump.
Then I went over to Norway, but I was starting to feel not so good again. I found the bathroom, and then sat outside of it for a while, because it was fairly peaceful over there. I'm sure everyone was wondering what I was doing sitting there with my eyes closed.

I would think I was feeling better, then I would feel worse. Then I remembered I had Tums and thought that might help. I took one or two, and that seemed to actually make it worse, because all of a sudden I was running into the bathroom and
. Sorry, I know, TMI.

But of course after that, I felt fine. I rode Maelstrom, and then headed back around towards Mexico. I even ate the final thing I had really wanted to try.
Argentina
Organic Spicy Beef Empanadas
This had gotten great reviews, but I didn't think it was anything special. It was just beef in a little pocket thingy, and it was way too dry, no sauce. So I really only ate a few bites of it.
By then it was maybe around 8pm. I got a wristband for EMH, thinking I might want to do them, but then I decided my feel were just too tired to go trekking around Future World. So I went into one shop and looked around, and then decided to head toward the exit. I waited in a line forever and got some popcorn (what was I thinking, like I hadn't eaten enough??? It did smell good, though.) and then went and caught the bus back to WL. I went to my room and rested for a while, and then went out to the dock and watched the Electrical Water Pageant, and also saw Hallowishes. That's the end of my Friday, finally!
